As I nip at his gauged earlobe, his breath hitches, and I walk away without looking back. He groans and curses, making me smile.

The door opens, prompting Micky to stand from his spot. A built man steps in, but he is out of place here. He’s wearing a suit and tie. The tie is loose around his neck, as are some of the buttons on his shirt. His dark blond hair is disheveled. It’s short on the sides and in the back but longer on the top, falling over his forehead. He’s hot, if you’re into corporate daddies. Big and muscular, he has a classic chiseled jawline and picture-perfect smile.

Micky nods over to the bar, and the man makes his way toward me. He looks around at the people here. The look on his face screams that he doesn’t trust us. So, I give him my best smile as we lock eyes.

“Hi,” I say politely.

He smiles back. It’s charming—one, I’m sure, that gets him his way more often than not.

“Hi, are you Indy?”

I nod. “Yes, how can I help you?” Oh god, I hope he isn’t a lawyer. The last thing I need is legal shit on top of everything else. But do they come to find you at work or this late, even?

“The guy at the door told me to find you. Can I use your phone, please? My rental broke down, and I need a ride to the hotel I’m staying in.” He interrupts my spiraling thoughts, and I narrow my eyes at him and tilt my head.

“You don’t have a cell phone?”

He pulls it out, holding it up. “Dead. I’ve had a long fucking day and forgot my charger,” he offers with a shrug.

“Indy,” Jay sings from the other end of the bar.

“Who is feeding you the alcohol, Jared? I stopped an hour ago. You’re both about to be kicked out.”

He laughs. “I’m leaving anyway, just wanted to say bye.”

I jerk my head toward him. “Who’s taking you home?” He jabs his finger into his chest. “The hell you are. Find a ride, Jared. You’re not leaving until you’re with someone who can drive. Mik?” I tiptoe up to see him better. “Jay isn’t leaving unless he has a sober ride.” He nods, and Jay smirks as his eyes roam my body.

“I’m looking at the ride I want to take.”

My eyes screw shut on reflex, while the corporate daddy lets out a deep chuckle.

“You remember what I told you?”

Jay nods. “Find you sober.”

“You’re not sober.”

I refocus my attention on the new man. “You know he’ll never remember that,” the suit says in amusement. My eyes roll so far into the back of my head they might get stuck there. At least that’s what I’ve been told my entire life.

“Yes, that’s the point. It’s so easy to play with the likes of you.”

His shoulders roll back slightly, and his eyebrows shoot to the top of his head. “The likes of me?”

I nod. “Men.”

“Ah.” He chuckles.

“Come on. We have a phone in the office.” I nod at him to follow.

Handing him the phone, I sidestep him so he can make his call.

“Thank you, Indy,” he calls out.

“Welcome, suit.”

His deep laugh follows me back behind the bar.
