“You are not in the mood to talk?” Dimitri asked, feigning shock. “Are you feeling well?”
“Ha, ha, ha,” Jack gave a slow, dramatic, and mocking laugh. “You’re hilarious.”
“What shall we do then?”
“There’s a bunch of dances I’ve been wanting to try out,” Jack said, pulling up saved videos and sounds he had at the ready.
“I do not dance.”
“Perfect, you’ll make a stylish accessory to my moves.”
The first video they recorded went quickly enough. It pretty much involved Jack twerking at the camera while Dimitri stared in disbelief with his arms crossed.
The next few were a bit more tedious and involved Jack reshooting them again and again when he messed up or required multiple angles.
“Keeping the outtakes,” he blurted, preparing his next video.
He handed Dimitri the phone and dropped to his knees in front of him.
“What are you intending to record here?”
“Going to open the video with a baddie back arch,” Jack explained, positioning himself on all fours with his ass raised high, his head pressed to the floor, and his back arched to absolute perfection. “Just like this.”
Jack changed up, losing the arch, and smiled up at Dimitri.
“When you start recording, make sure to get a good shot as I move into position,” Jack said. “Bitches eat that shit up.”
Dimitri quirked a brow.
“Okay, it’s me, I’m bitches.”
Dimitri recorded a few takes of Jack giving his best arch performance in the world, and admittedly, Dimitri found himself craving something more exciting than silly dance videos. But Jack was now lost in the joy of filming content, so they continued.
Jack used Dimitri as a prop for a few of the short, choppy clips, and then set up for the most outrageous part of his performance. Dimitri held Jack’s ankles as the entertainer did a handstand while shaking his ass in front of the camera.
“How is this a trend?”
“Trust me. Once I edit it all together, it’s gonna kill.”
“It is going to kill my eyes, surely.”
“Sassy.”
Dimitri lost himself in the dancing videos, even finding himself convinced to attempt a few of the easier ones. This was a life Dimitri never predicted, and he couldn’t imagine anything better.
CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE
Jack strutted into the library, standing in front of Dimitri, who sat at a desk with a book in his hand. Dimitri didn’t look away, continuing to read even as Jack blocked some of the lighting with shadows and pulled out his phone to record.
“Howdy ho, my creepy crawlies. It’s your boy, Jack Whoa Lantern,” Jack said, posing in front of Dimitri. “Do y’all like my top?”
Dimitri stared at Jack, then looked into the camera, seeming to eye Jack through the camera’s reflection.
“You are not wearing a top.” Dimitri quirked a brow, and Jack nearly lost it right there.
His shadowy expression disappeared as he hid his reaction, then he stopped the recording and roared with laughter. “Oh my fucking God, you’re absolutely brilliant.”
“For pointing out the obvious?”
