"They have their own rooms, and they're usually up for anything."

"Okay, fine. Let's do it." I tugged my fingers through my damp hair, attempting to tame it into something socially acceptable.

King stepped up behind me, messing it up as quickly as I had fixed it. "I want you in my jersey."

"I want you in my jersey," I countered.

He pulled mine out of our closet, and tugged it over his head. Then pulled his over my head, too.

Our fingers were interlocked as we walked back out to the living room together. This time, it had nothing to do with making a statement, and everything to do with being close to each other.

Jude and Hollis were in the kitchen, making food, when we got out there

"The dead have risen," Jude joked. "Are you alive?"

"Barely," I joked back. "How bad did Parkin lose the game for us?"

"It was almost a tie," Hollis said, holding up two fingers close together.

"That's a polite way to say that he choked in the last period," Jude drawled. "He doesn't have the fucking stamina. You need to train that asshole."

"So he can take my job? Not happening."

King tugged me closer to him. "We wouldn't let that happen."

"Are you hungry?" Hollis asked, looking between us. "Or are you heading out?"

"Starving," I admitted. "And staying in."

"Good. We were already making enough pasta for everyone," Jude said. "It's almost done. Go, sit. Rest. Prepare to help us win tomorrow."

"Obviously," I stated.

"We're watching hockey romance out here. Feel free to join us," King said, grabbing me by the waist. I made a noise of surprise, and he hauled me into the living room.

I laughed as he grabbed a blanket and dragged me into his arms, trapping me against his mountain-sized chest.

"Your grip is a little too tight," I teased.

"Just making sure you know you're mine," he said against my ear, nipping my lobe.

"It would be impossible to forget."

"I'll remind you anyway." He nipped my ear again, and handed me the remote.

I started the show, and Jude joined us in front of the TV a few minutes later.

He passed us bowls, then frowned as he took in the screen. "Is this a hockey show that doesn't teach you anything about hockey?"

"Yup," I confirmed.

"Bummer. Is there sex?" he asked.

"Plenty. And bare tits."

"Count me in." He plopped down next to us.

Hollis came out with a stack of sliced bread, and passed each of us two slices as he sat down too. "Oh, I fucking love this one."
