He grinned. “Oh, yeah? Want another round?”

“Always,” I grinned back, feeling myself harden instantly. That was the thing with being a vampire. We could go all the time, if we wanted to.

Jacob straddled my lap, sinking down on my cock with ease. His blue eyes, the ones I always compared to the ocean, were shifting to red as he rode me. This was all we could do as we fought our hunger for Colin. We would need to feed from him soon, but we feared Alexander’s wrath when we did so. He knew we wanted Colin, and would likely be fighting within himself. We knew he wished for us to be able to feed, but his monster…

“Stay with me,” Jacob panted, biting down on my bottom lip. “Only me.”

I nodded, licking away my own blood. “Only you.” He smiled at that, then fucked himself harder on my length, his own bobbing in front of him. He needed this more than I did, so I let him exert himself on me, enjoying the pleasure of being inside my lover.

“So otherworldly gorgeous,” I rasped, teasing his nipples.

He moaned, “more.” So, I grabbed his neck, pulling him down, biting into one nipple. He screamed as he came. I flipped us around, finding his perfect hole as I slid back inside, fucking into him faster and faster, chasing my own release. I came with his teeth in my neck.

We panted for air, both now fully spent. “Harland?” he asked, tone tentative.

“Yes, my love?”

“We will die without anyone to feed from.”

“We will,” I agreed, already knowing where he was going with this.

“I do not want to starve for years, Harland. I cannot bear the thought.”

“Me neither,” I admitted.

“Do you want to end it with me? On our own terms?” he asked, sitting up.

I sat up too, needing us to be in the same position for this talk. “When?”

“The day after Colin and Alexander leave. You and I will hold hands and walk outside, waiting for the sun to take us away from here.”

I took his hand in mine. “And until that day, we love. We love with all we have. Promise me that, my love. Promise me.”

Tears fell from Jacob’s eyes. “I promise.”

Chapter Twenty-Six

Colin

“I have to go out there and make sure the chickens are all safe from the storm,” I said, heading for the door.

“Want my help?” Alexander offered, rising to stand from the couch.

I shook my head. “It won’t take me long, and for some reason they’re terrified of you.”

He frowned, making me giggle. He’d been so excited to see the chicks yesterday, but they had not returned the excitement, hiding away instead.

“I will just read one of your books then,” he declared, walking into our bedroom.

Smiling, I left our rooms and went outside. It wasn’t raining yet, but the skies were dark grey and thunder boomed in the distance. I really wasn’t too worried about the chickens, but they were still so young. I needed to at least make sure they had enough warmth to tide them over until the storm had passed. The little door needed closing too, so they would stay inside the enclosure until I opened it back up.

“Hi my babies,” I cooed, loving their little chirps as they greeted me hello. I had to hurry, so a few little pets on their heads was all I had time for before closing them inside fully. With that done, I turned and got ready to head inside.

“Ooph!” I landed on my back, a feral looking Jacob straddling my lap. “Gods, you scared me!” I exclaimed, trying to calm my heartrate.

“Need you,” he rasped.

“You can feed,” I said, knowing he was likely starving. I held out my wrist, making him growl. He lunged for my throat, and before I could object, his fangs sank in, filling me with pleasure. It was so intense, he had to have done it on purpose. Rain drops fell around us softly as I moaned with abandon.
