He moved faster, his cock now fully inside me, rubbing deliciously against my inner walls.
“So perfect,” he repeated, panting for air. “My precious human.”
“My vampire,” I whispered, grabbing his neck and pulling him down. His lips met mine, and something inside me healed itself as our tongues met, stroking and savoring one another. This was our first dream kiss, and it was amazing. He continued to fuck into me, his hips snapping, the sound so loud and obscene in my bedroom. It was fucking hot.
His lips left mine, only to then kiss down my neck.
“Bite me,” I pleaded. I wanted his fangs and cock in me, like he’d promised.
His fangs sank into me and then everything changed.
I woke up with a start clutching my erratically beating heart. Said heart had changed overnight and I already knew the vampire responsible was right next to me. I dared a peek anyway, finding Alexander asleep with a sated smile on his face. He had traces of my blood on his chin, a clear sign that everything hadn’t been a dream. I could feel him inside of me right now, like a bond had formed. I’d never felt more loved and cherished as his affections for me fluttered inside my own body, telling me he did care for me, no matter how cold he’d acted towards me.
“They had all been real,” I whispered, realizing each dream hadn’t been a dream at all. Alexander had visited me to feed on those nights and things had progressed from there. I hadn’t had any inhibitions at all, thinking it was a dream.
Jacob and Harland would be so mad at me. The realization caused so much pain to my core that Alexander flew up, clutching his heart.
“Are you okay, my precious?” That did it. I broke down, tears falling freely as I sobbed. His arms came around me, holding me tight. “Do you regret choosing me?”
God, was that what he thought my reaction was about?
“No,” I hurried to answer. I didn’t want him to feel hurt. “I just realized Jacob and Harland will hate me now, more so than they already do.”
“They will not hate you,” he assured me, stroking my hair. This side to him was so alien, but oh so wonderful.
“They couldn’t share me,” I hiccupped. “So, I ended things. I tried to protect what you three had with one another, and I still ruined it!”
“You ruined nothing, my precious. We were not meant to find our happily ever after together, as is the cure to the curse. We all knew this. One day we would each get a sacrifice that would choose us and set us free.”
I was about to say something, but Sienna’s knocking interrupted me. I groaned instead, falling back on my pillow as I wiped my eyes. “She already thinks I’m dramatic. I can’t open the door all red eyed and weepy.”
“She said what?” he growled, glaring at the door.
I smiled at that. “Nothing, let me just get rid of her.”
“No, let me,” he grinned, getting out of bed, his delicious naked body in full view in front of me.
“The curtains!” I called after him.
He waved it off. “They close automatically whenever we enter a room.”
Okay then…
“Colin!” Sienna called, loud enough for me to hear in the bedroom.
“He will have breakfast in bed,” Alexander drawled, thankfully not opening the door.
“Master Alexander,” Sienna replied, sounding neutral. If she was surprised to hear he was here, she didn’t sound it. “It will be delivered in fifteen minutes.”
“Thank you, Sienna.”
Alexander entered my bedroom with a proud smile. I couldn’t help but laugh as I felt lighter than I had in days. We just needed to face Jacob and Harland now, and then all would be okay. I had chosen Alexander, no matter if it had been intentional or not, he was mine. I was certain they’d be mad, but I had Alexander on my side now, something I hadn’t had before. It sounded selfish even to my own ears, but they still had each other and my need and growing feelings for them would hopefully disappear within a few months… or years… or decades.
Chapter Twenty-Two
Colin
“Eat,” Alexander urged, holding out a forkful of pancakes in front of me. I opened my mouth and accepted the food, much to Alexander’s satisfaction. He looked smug as he picked out my next piece.
