“Gods, Sabina!” She took her time cupping and stroking him until he was bucking into her hand. “I need—let me touch you too,” he demanded harshly.
“I like your hands where they are,” she admitted. “Though you could tug my braids a little tighter.”
“Don’t tempt me,” he gritted out, and she felt him yank on her hair, making her gasp.
“It seems I like it though, just as you like me on top.”
“I do,” he admitted raggedly. “Please,” he all but begged, “take me inside you, wife.”
She clambered at once on top of him. She knew she was more than ready from his words alone, but she reached between her legs, in any case, to check she was slippery enough for him to fit, and his breathing hitched.
“Are you touching yourself?” he wheezed.
“Yes.” He groaned and Sabina bit her lip. “Do you wish it was your fingers, Jeffree?” she whispered.
“Yes. No. I wish my lip wasn’t busted open. I wish I could taste it. I wish…”
“What?” Sabina panted, wondering at his gasp.
“I wish you were sat astride my face,” he admitted hoarsely.
Sabina’s eyes widened at that image. “Jeffree!” she choked.
He groaned, dragging on her braids and thrusting up. “I cannot wait any longer, do not ask me to.”
Sabina made haste to maneuver herself above him. She had barely aligned their parts before he was gasping, “Now? Tell me.”
“Yes,” she sobbed as his hips surged forward, and he was there, thrusting into her core, where she ached for him. “Yes,” she repeated as they jostled against one another, falling into a rhythm.
“Oh gods, don’t stop. Don’t stop,” he chanted.
Sabina’s eyes fluttered shut. “Yes, Jeffree,” she encouraged him, pressing her thighs into his hips insistently as he had requested. “Harder.” He grunted and complied. “Both,” she panted. “Pull my hair too.” There was the briefest pause and then she felt his hands twist to pull on her braids, dragging her head back as he thrust up into her. Why did that feel so good? She sobbed and suddenly he had let her hair loose and was kneading her buttocks, rocking her against him, increasing the friction.
“Keep doing that,” he uttered harshly.
Doing what? Sabina wondered, but speech was beyond her now, for pleasure had her in its grip. She moaned low and then, with an astonished gasp, shattered apart completely. When next she surfaced, she was blinking against Jeffree’s heaving chest as he shouted his own release. His hands shifted over her back, pulling her tight against him.
“Your injuries,” she murmured groggily, reminding him.
“Can’t feel anything right now,” he panted. “Except your sweet, tight cunny.”
Her eyelids flickered, and if she had any breath in her body, Sabina realized she would probably be a little shocked at such forthright words.
When it could not be put off any longer, they disentangled and Sabina dragged herself out of the bed to take a wash. She was wrung out. No sooner had she joined him back under the covers, then she felt the bed shift and Jeffree moved, pressing his body against her back, his harsh breathing at her ear. “You please me,” he muttered. “Your body, your words. I want to look at your face next time.”
Sabina turned her head, even though she had no chance of making out his expression in the dark. “What?”
“Your face,” he repeated tightly. “I want to gaze at it as I give you my seed. I want you to say my name when I’m deep inside you. I want—” His words broke off and she felt his hot breath against her neck. “I want you to tell me—” His words were gravelly, hard to make out. “That I’m the best lover you ever had. Do you hear me, Sabina? The best and last you’ll ever have.”
His words robbed her of what little breath she had left. “Jeffree,” she murmured.
“But I can wait,” he added, dropping a kiss on her shoulder. “I will wait for you.”
Her eyes drooped down and the next thing she knew it was morning.

The next morning, Sabina woke to an empty bed and realized Jeffree must have already set about their preparations to leave. Wilton brought her hot water and her freshly laundered brown dress. Someone at the palace laundry had taken the trouble to attach new cording at the wrists and hem to replace the old, frayed stuff. A very tidy job they had made of it too, she almost wished they had time for her red dress to be similarly repaired before their departure. Almost half the hem was hanging off thanks to that incident last night on the stairs.
