“You came with them?” I asked, pointing at Juan and Twist.

“Fuck no. They just walked in with me. Two lame ass niggas.”

Juan mean mugged her as Twist laughed, looking her up and down.

“Devyn. Does Cassie know you’re out with them?” Juan asked.

“Why would Cassie know? She’s not my keeper!”

“ON BABY!” Pink yelled.

Juan stepped in front of Pink, “Are you safe?”

“Yes. You broke Cassie’s heart!” I slurred. “She was upset for days!”

Hurt and hope flashed across his face, “She blocked me on everything. I can’t reach her. I’ma stop in the club soon.”

“Yeah, you needa apologize.”

“Be careful,” he warned. He handed me money out of his pocket before walking away.

“Devyn, it’s too crowded in here. We’re going to the patio, come on...” Lola said, grabbing my hand softly.

“Nah, shorty. Devy is coming with me and Snow!”

Twist licked his lips, “Devyn is coming with me...”

I held up my finger, stepping to the side with Lola. She pulled my dress up and then pulled it down. Worry and confusion was all over her face. Her friends were still standing towards the back, looking stupid as fuck! I was getting irruhtated.

“You know him? You hang around Pink?”

“Yes, I actually know Twist and Juan. I do hang with Pink.”

“Why? You know Cassie and them don’t fuck with her, right? Kenzie told me to not be around her.”

“And you just listened? You a grown ass woman, Lola.”

“Ouch! I just don’t want myself or you in any shit.”

“I’ma be fine. Thank you for the invite, I’ll be at work in just an hour or so.”

Pink grabbed my wrist, sitting where the girls once were. Paco and his friends got up, dispersing away as well. It was just me sat between Twist and Pink. The best fucking seat in the place.

“Why you ain’t got up with me?” Twist asked, biting his lip.

“I’ve been caught up.”

“Mmmmm. What you got going tonight?”

Pink popped her lips, “NOTHING! She’s calling in and coming with me.”

“She don’t needa be with any drunk thots. I’ma take care of her. And she know that.”

He pulled a stack out of his pocket, placing it in the hand Juan already put money into.
