My hand pushed him back. With my body pressed against him, I turned slowly, dragging my ass across his hard dick. And that mothafucka was big. I leaned forward, pushing back against him. My ass tossed in circles onto his lap.

The smile slowly left his face as he gripped my waist tighter, mashing me against his body. I perfectly put his dick between my two fat ass checks. My waist moved up and down as I drug my pussy all over it. He put his hand on my lower back with his thumb between the top of my ass cheeks, helping me rub myself all over him.

I stood up straight, smiling as he whispered into my ear about not tempting him. When I looked across the bar, a woman and a man were looking back. I instantly noticed the woman to be Pink from the club. The man, I’ve never seen to my knowledge. I hate the way he kept grabbing at his dick while looking at me. I turned to Duke.

“I think I’ve had too many.”

“It’s time for us to go anyways.”

Somehow, our date wasn’t over. He kissed on the back of my hand as we drove, listening to old R&B. I was drunk, singing loudly and out of tune. He just kissed and nodded his head to the music. Once I realized he was taking me to the Ferris wheel, I felt emotional.

“Why are you doing all of this for me?” I asked as we stood in line.

“This may be a lot to you, but it’s the least for me.”

I got inside of our seat as he paid extra on the low to stop us at the top. We didn’t say anything until we were up there, in the sky. I could see Cassie’s apartment building in the distance. His hand rubbed my hip as we stopped.

Looking over the city was magical. Being with Duke specifically was special. My eyes filled with tears wondering why my parents never allowed me to see all of this when we came. It was just highways and neighborhoods. No food, museums, parks, anything. I felt betrayed to be denied such a beauty. Like they were hiding it from me so I wouldn’t leave like Aunt Tami.

“Are you going to leave Chicago at any point like your family?” I asked.

“Are you leaving Chicago at any point?”

I looked towards Cassie’s building, “No.”

“Then no.”

“What, you would stay for me?”

“I would follow you anywhere you allowed me to, Devyn. Can I ask you a question?”

“Yeah.”

“Do you resent your parents?”

It threw me off, “What do you mean?”

“You speak as if they made things harder for you growing up. It sounds to me that nothing you did was ever good enough.”

“They just wante—”

“They’re not here and you’re grown. You don’t have to defend them, especially not to me.”

He pulled me onto his lap. It wasn’t sexual but comforting. We watched the rest of the sun go down as he held onto me tightly.

“I never really spent time with other people to know what ideal parents looked like. So I never grew up thinking their parenting was wrong. In a way, they did want the best for me. But our relationship was so....corporate. The emotional aspect was gone. And I’m an emotional girl deep inside. Now I’m not well with expressing them. I’m having a hard time being twenty-eight and realizing things for the first time.”

“You deserve to be poured into. For such an artistic girl, you had the color drained from you. Your world isn’t meant to be gray. You can have drive without the beratement. You don’t need anyone to tell you what’s right and wrong for you, you’re very intelligent. I’m sorry they were so tough on you. It must’ve been exhausting.”

He laid me back against his chest, kissing my forehead, “But you can relax now.”

And that I did. We sat silently as my mind relaxed. I didn’t stress or overthink. No part of me denied that if I needed someone to lean on, it would be Duke. The true Devyn hated feeling this way so soon. The blossoming Devyn promised it was different with him.

A fat ass rain drop fell on my forehead. He chuckled while looking over and waving to the guy. Being the man he is, he took his shirt off, helping me wrap my hair in it as much as possible. As soon as we stepped off the ride, we took running to the truck. It was just sprinkling at first, but once we were about ten feet away, it started pouring.

He snatched the truck door open, shoving me inside. I cackled, leaning over the seat and onto the arm rest. He hopped up behind me, laying his body against mine and kissing my cheek. I felt him grow against me.

“You okay? It’s not ruined is it?”
