I constantly kept moving without stopping. Because if I stopped, that pain in my chest revealed itself. I’ve been heartbroken twice in my life. Once when my parents died and the second time when K3 was arrested. He was my first boyfriend, so I’ve never gone through that type of pain.
Back and forth, back and forth Tatianna and I went. Devyn hummed as she danced around the kitchen while Doodaman sat and watched her. Every time Tati and I made eye contact, my friend looked so sad for me. It was on my face and in my body language.
What does she look like? What made him choose her? Did that bitch ever lay down with my fucking husband? Do he have personal talks with her? How many times did she touch him? Did he talk to me right afterwards or right before? When he finds out about Juan, will he feel this way?
“I CANNOT BELIEVE THIS NIGGA!” someone yelled, snapping me out of my trance.
When I walked from the room, Devyn, Tati, and now Kenzie were sitting on the couch. Kenzie’s face was pink as hell which only happens when she get heated. She glanced over at me and frowned.
“Cassie, what’s wrong?”
My stomach dropped yet again as I plopped down onto the ottoman. “I’m too fucking sick to talk about it.”
Devyn sat forward, “Oh, I didn’t know something was wrong. I’m sorry...”
I smiled and shrugged. Kenzie took three deep breaths before letting the bullets sing.
“I fucking hate niggas!” she yelled.
“MHM!” Tati and I agreed.
“Especially these young niggas. I can’t do it anymore. All the fuck they do is lie and play. You keep they ass at a distance and these mothafuckas will still beg and plead for your time, just to play in your damn face! Then when I finally do something back, now I’m crazy and need to be in an institution. The nigga told me he thinks we should take a break!”
I snickered, “Well, what did you do?”
“I had stole his phone and now its locked for five days.”
“FIVE DAYS?!” the three of us yelled.
Tati and I started rolling around, cackling like fucking hyenas while Devyn apologized for her outburst. Every time I looked at Kenzie’s dead serious ass face, I just started laughing all over again. No bitch in here is right in the head but maybe Devyn.
“Kenzie, I love you more than anybody but that’s a good reason for that nigga to assign you a straitjacket,” Tatianna patted her leg. “You did all of that when there’s simpler ways to handle these situations--”
“Yeah,” Devyn nodded, agreeing.
“Like beating niggas!” Tatianna finished.
Devyn frowned, “Wait...”
“BEAT THESE NIGGAS ASS AND THEY’LL STOP PLAYING!”
Kenzie and I both cackled. Doodaman hopped down from the stool, walking to us with his lip puffed out. Kenzie picked him up and kissed his cheek,
“Doodas, where yo daddy? He my first target!”
“UH-UH, UH-UH!” I laughed. “They working it out again.”
“I’m hungry!” Doodaman cried.
“I thought Auntie Devyn made you a snack?!” Tati snapped. Honestly, her referring to Devyn as auntie is the nicest thing she may ever say to this woman.
“I DID!” Devyn panicked.
“Let’s order pizza. I’m supposed to be counting my calories, but I’m upset,” Kenzie stood.
I got up, stretching and sighing. “Girl, who are you telling.”
We all walked to the kitchen with Doodaman in tow. I saw Devyn check her phone, laying it face down. My eyes went to the plate she made for Doodas.
