K3 shook his head, turning his back and repacking the bag. For him to do that one action, I knew the beef was dropped and he had some sort of respect for the nigga Zay. I still kept my pistol ready because I trusts no one when it comes to shorty.

Once done, he, Micah and I made our way to the entrance, comfortably. Right before we exited, Ben loudly cleared his throat,

“Aye! You know why the police is questioning my staff wondering why victims from a series of shootings all lead back to nights Cassie danced in the club?! They calling yo ass a serial killer.”

“They ain’t gave me a serial killer name yet?!” Micah and I both cracked up laughing. “Tell yo fat head ass friend next to you to get them niggas off you the way he helped Juan. All them niggas that got private dances from my wife dead anyways, folks. Safe travels.”

Zay started laughing loudly as the door shut behind us.

I know my brother. This would’ve ended ugly if it were up to the old him. Now I’ve watched my youngest sibling turn into a fiancé and a father before my eyes. He got shit to handle and a family to return to. He didn’t do this shit for Zay. He did it for Cassandra. And I gotta back it.

Palpitations

K3’s POV

“Lock this door, lil nigga. Don’t make no calls to DR! And watch for my phone call!” I barked at Micah’s oofy goofy stupid ass.

He kissed his teeth, “Whatever. I don’t understand why I can’t come.”

“Because shits finna get wicked and I don’t wanna hear Piper’s mouth,” Duke groaned. “We’ll be back.”

The two of us turned away as this nigga slammed the door shut. Cassie’s shit was just sitting at The Ninth. Duke and Micah drove that behind me while I took the rental to the scrap yard. We’ll spin in the AMG since it’s no good to my baby anymore. It’s hours after we met with them Louisiana niggas and both of us were fed and rested.

“You think Cassie gon beat K2’s ass when he doesn’t give her, her passport?” I asked as we flew out the driveway in reverse, heading out them niggas way.

“I saw that nigga press on a nigga neck before and he folded like a lawn chair.”

“WHAT?! HE BET NOT DO THAT SHIT TO MY SNUFFLEKINS!”

“Watch out, gang!” Duke cracked up laughing.

“Call Aht Aht Aht for me and see if them niggas is in place. My shit at the house.”

“Fasho.”

“Aye, shorties!”

“Yo!”

“Tell Kenan’s niggas that set up was me and I’ll be right here on the block tonight.”

I pulled my pistol from my waist, pointing it out the window and killing three of the four youngins. I watched the one that responded to me runaway as Duke pulled off in the AMG.

“You hear me?” Duke asked, pulling me out my thoughts. “He said they out and they deep, spread out over the neighborhood.”

“I ain’t worried.”

“On granny.”

This ride was more serious for us than the ride to get Juan. I needs niggas to know I’m home and my wife will return to nothing but peace. Not one nigga is leaving the neighborhood unscathed. I got the best hittas on this shit, peeling off hella bread, on foe. Not to mention, one of my young niggas found out it was some of Kenan’s niggas that set him up. So they was just going to let my wife die on their behalf? Hell nah.

On Duke’s call, all our niggas is going to push into the neighborhood from three different ways. It’s too many of them. The blicks they got is too powerful. It’ll take everybody to pop out to stop them. Something they’ll never do.

Duke and I are running into the neighborhood on foot. They’ll never let us just ride up on Kenan’s main house they still work out of, so that was our best bet.

As we got closer, a feeling came over me. I wasn’t scared and never will be. It was more of an unsettling feeling. Like I was forgetting something or not considering everything. We drove in dead silence as I thought it through.

By the time I pulled the AMG off the road and into some bushes, I was still coming up short. I put my favorite AR on a strap across my body as I held a pistol with a switch in my hand. I gave Duke a moment to put on his silencers and get his pistol and rifle ready. Once done and out the car, we both started running.
