“Here. I know Devyn ain’t feeding you nothing but coochie.”

“Exactly, and that’s why I’m always full.”

She laughed, smacking his chest. “I have to find what I’m wearing, baby boy. Come kiss me bye.”

They both walked away as I stood there with K3’s wrapped sandwich. The coldness from the island pressed into my arms while I waited to say bye to my own man. I tried to stay positive until he left, but my mind had so many questions running through it. Most importantly, are me and my man actually going to be together forever after this?

“How you feeling?” his deep voice interrupted me. It caused me to flinch a little, bringing me back to the apartment.

I looked his fine ass up and down, shaking my head slowly. He had on an all-black Dickie’s set and looked good as fuck. Three gold chains, a gold watch, and a gold bottom grill. Hair in a bun. Damn.

“I’m okay. You look good for some errands.”

“As long as you got eyesight, I’ma try to look my best. This for me?”

“Yeah, it’s for you, Papa,” I slid his sandwich to him.

“Thank you. Gimme a kiss, Crybaby. I’ma catch up with you. I promise.”

I nodded, leaning up and kissing him. Butterflies filled my stomach as I pressed my lips into his. Mint on his breath and cologne on his clothes. Even with bad nerves, I knew this nigga was all mine. I have to shake that other shit off and just be glad Kenzo is home.

He gripped my waist before looking into my eyes. I nodded my head, understanding why he was looking at me. He was reassuring me that during our time apart, I had nothing to worry about. And I believed him. With his soft lips, he kissed my nose once more before grabbing his sandwich and turning away.

“MWAH! MWAH! MWAH!” Duke loudly kissed Devyn on her lips. K3 and I both screwed our faces up at the same time.

“Bro pussy as hell about Dictation!” K3 laughed.

“Says the nigga that stopped talking to his shorty for two days and then started sleeping outside of her apartment in his truck.”

“WHAT?!” Devyn and I yelled.

“Mmcht! Aight, gang. Cassandra, you know what it is so please spare me.”

“You’re fucking crazy, nigga! And here, you forgot this!”

I picked up a stack of money so big it took two hands. He counted it before we fucked last night, so I knew it was ten thousand dollars. He nor Duke turned around to look at me. Both continued to the door.

“I didn’t forget nothing, stop playing with me. That’s yours. I love you, Crybaby,” he casually said over his shoulder.

“I love you too, Papa!”

The door barely shut before Devyn ran to me, hugging me tightly. I smiled while swaying back and forth with her. I’m grateful that she knew I needed it. She looked at the money and shook her head.

“How much is that?!”

“A gripmillion. Call it reparations.”

“Did he tell you?”

“Mhm. A one-time dick sucking with a condom two years ago.”

“Mm. Are y’all okay?”

“It’s all on the flo. We laid everything out and we’re still here for now. Guess we’re in the acceptance phase.”

“Let’s go have fun. I lied to my man like you forced me to and turned my location off.”

“GOOD GIRL!” I chuckled, walking into my room.
