Deciding to be safe than sorry, she took her phone out and dialed Mags. She was her only friend not currently pregnant or with small children, and the late hour wouldn’t bother her. Hell, she was probably still up working on an exciting new embroidery pattern.
As Blair brought the phone to her ear, leaning down to grab her bags at the same time, an arm came around her middle, shocking her into momentary immobility.
A hand plucked her phone out of her nerveless fingers, ending the call right as it had started to ring.
“I’ve missed you, my girl,” a familiar voice breathed into her ear.
Oh God, Peter.
He had her shoved over the driver’s seat of the open Jeep, and before her brain managed any flight or fight response, she felt her arms wrenched behind her and handcuffs scraping her wrists.
He rested his body weight against her back once her hands were secure, whispering against her neck how much he’d missed her. Blair knew a whimper left her mouth when he pressed his hardening sex against her jean-clad bottom.
Some sort of heavy tape sealed her lips together, and Peter placed a flu mask over her lower face. As he drew her from the vehicle, he had an oversized jacket ready to swing around her shoulders, hiding the fact that her wrists were imprisoned.
Peter dragged her to his car, ignoring her kicking and bucking against his hold, shoving her into the passenger seat where more handcuffs went around her ankles and some sort of belt cinched her neck to the headrest.
Tears cascaded from her eyes only to be soaked up by the mask, panic a full-fledged entity now, overtaking her nervous system.
“You didn’t think we were finished, did you?” Peter asked.
Blair could feel her body starting to hyperventilate, frantic snorts of air partially closing her nose, her taped mouth fighting against the restriction.
She had to calm down, had to focus on her breathing. Blair wasn’t the only person struggling to breathe. Her baby needed her to calm down and allow oxygen to permeate her body.
“I’m sorry it’s come to this. I’ve made huge changes in my life. Changes I know you’ll appreciate.”
Blair could only whimper behind the thick tape and shake her head.
“I broke things off with Mindy. It was never serious,” he assured her, as if she would want him after everything; the grooming, the abuse, the stalking.
“I told her that you were the only one. I consider you my daughter, Blair. I practically raised you, after all.”
As Peter sped out of the parking garage, stopping long enough to pay whatever fee the electronic gate asked for, she did nothing but breathe, her mind whispering Daniel’s name.

PETER
Elation shot through Peter. Abduction wasn’t how he necessarily wanted their reunion to go down, but Blair left him no choice. His dick was still twitching from having her underneath him while he tied her up.
He had followed her relentlessly, waiting for an opportunity to speak to her, and she never gave him a chance.
As soon as she saw what he had in his possession, her tune would change. She would realize that she had put her trust in the wrong man.
Daniel was a philandering fool and not worth a second of her time.
Last week, Peter had been randomly scrolling through Dublin’s Daily Mail social section and happened to see pictures of the grand O’Faolain family attending some fancy event, and lo and behold, there was Mr. Daniel O’Faolain with his arm around a curvy brunette, all smiles for the camera.
The gossip columns were all aflutter over who the new woman could be. Peter had broken the speed limit to get to the nearest photo development center to print off the incriminating evidence.
He didn’t want to hurt Blair, but she needed to see what the supposed love of her life was up to.
Daniel was a cheating, ignorant fool, and Peter was never happier. The photos he had under his jacket burning a hole in his side would be the impetus Blair needed to finally see where her affections really lay.
After that hug weeks ago, Peter knew that Blair still wanted and needed him. It was that bitch Linda Bartel, who didn’t want to share Blair’s time, that had set his termination in progress.
At first, he’d considered that Blair had said something negative about him to her teacher, but Blair would never do that. Her standoffishness had everything to do with her jealousy over Mindy.
