“We have plenty of food, Daphne. You don’t need to overeat.”

“Yes, Sir.” I sit back. I’m not sure what to do next. What he expects of me. Plus, I’m shackled to the wall by a chain that only reaches this chair.

I should be furious. Part of me is. He’s such a conundrum. He’s toying with me. I think that’s the point. I won’t let him get to me.

When Silver has finished eating, he silently piles up our dishes and leaves the room again. I don’t move. He hasn’t given me instructions, and again, I’m attached to the wall.

While he’s gone, I examine the chain. It’s thick and heavy. Just lifting it is a chore. The shackle at my ankle is metal and wide. I wouldn’t be able to get it off if my life depended on it. Why does he even own a shackle like this with an eyebolt in the floor?

I flinch when he returns. He comes straight to me, crouches down, and unlocks the metal restraint, causing me to release a sigh.

He smirks. “Don’t get excited. I’m only letting you brush your teeth and pee.” He stands and points toward the bathroom.

I rise and head that way, not wanting to anger him. This is going to be a challenging day. I’m certain of it.

When I return, he’s crouched in that same corner again. This time, he’s doing something with a large metal object. Assembling it?

I stop dead in my tracks when I realize it’s a cage. I can’t breathe. I can’t go in there. That’s too far. My mind wanders to thoughts of returning to my car. Sleeping in it. Last night, the bed was so comfortable. The food I ate for breakfast has given me more energy than I’ve had in weeks.

I’m usually an excellent student, but my grades are starting to slip from a lack of good nutrition and not enough sleep. Silver said he would make sure I get good grades. In exchange, I’m expected to obey him. Apparently, his goal is to fulfill every imaginable dark, kinky scenario known to humankind. He’s off to a good start. I haven’t even been here twelve hours, and I’ve done things I never imagined doing in a lifetime.

But I won’t let him put me in a cage.

Silver rises and turns around. “Take off everything but your panties, precious.”

Now I’m precious? How so? I back up, shaking my head.

He lifts a brow. “Is no an option?”

“I can’t do this, Silver. Please don’t ask me to.” I stare past him at the metal bars. It’s a dog kennel, barely large enough for me.

He approaches slowly. “I’m not asking, Daphne. I’ll never ask. I’m telling you to. We’re going to experiment this weekend. I want to know what makes you tick.”

“Dog kennels do not make me tick,” I tell him.

He closes the distance in one giant stride, grabs the back of my hair, and tugs my head back, forcing me to look up at him.

I wince from the pain.

“I’ve obviously been too soft on you this morning. You don’t seem to understand who’s in charge here.”

Tears well in my eyes. I could tolerate him looking at my naked body. I survived him shaving me. I even ignored the shackle. But I can’t let him put me in a cage. I’m not a dog. It’s too degrading.

He tugs my head back farther.

A sob escapes me. I hate myself for crying, but I can’t stop it. The tears fall down my cheeks. I’m genuinely scared now.

Silver is perfectly calm. He even smiles. “Oh, precious girl. I love it when you cry. It makes my cock hard.” He pulls harder, angling my head back too far this time.

I grab his biceps, trying not to lose my balance. I’m on my toes now. I’ve lost the flip-flops. They fell off when he yanked me back.

“Please…”

He smiles wider, maniacal. “Begging makes my cock harder. This is perfect. Every time we try something new, I find out how both of us respond. You can expect me to make you cry every fucking day because I like it when your face is red and your eyes are swollen. It’s even better when snot is pouring out of your nose.”

He’s insane. Certifiable. How did I not notice this last night? My heart is racing. I need to get out of here. “I don’t want to do this anymore, Silver. I’m done. Let me go back to my car.”

“Not an option, precious. You’re mine now, remember? You do as I say.”
