There was a moment, something unsaid in the air, charging some kind of tension between us. Despite it being such an emotional drop, my cock was hardening in my dress pants. Inhaling slowly, I stepped forward. Pushing my way between her thighs, I reached for her face, cupping her cheeks in my palm.

“How could you be so sure? What if everything you thought you knew wasn’t entirely true?”

Her breath hitched.

“What do you mean?”

I pressed my hard length against her, leaning in to run my tongue along her ear. The touch elicited a shiver from her body.

“What if this was all one long ruse? What if—just like when we were kids—Sawyer was the distraction?”

I ran my hand down her body, taking the comforter with it and exposing her nakedness to me. I cupped her breast, running my thumb across her nipple, causing it to tighten and rise to attention.

“The distraction?” She swallowed.

Tilting her head back, I engulfed her in a kiss. My tongue found hers fast but not hard. It was a need, but I wasn’t taking anything from her. She responded to my touch just as much as I responded to hers. Her hand ran along my chest, working to unbutton my dress shirt.

“Yes. That night. Remember? I ran home, and you stayed with Sawyer in the park. They asked me where you were, and I told them—with Sawyer. We gave you an alibi that night. You and Sawyer became the center of attention, letting me get away with the crime.”

I pressed on her chest, and she fell onto the bed. I bent over, taking her nipple into my mouth and biting it between my teeth. She gasped and arched her back. I ran my hands down her thighs, and once I reached her knees, I cupped her from underneath and lifted her, pushing her all the way up on the bed.

Quickly, I ripped off my clothes and joined her, pushing between her legs again.

“This may have been all one long, extended trick to get you to trust me, Andi.”

She melted in my embrace, her thighs falling slack against my hips as I pushed into her with ease.

“You should be scared of me, and yet, you’re the wettest I’ve ever had you, darling.”

She moaned as I sank my cock deep into her.

“You have no sense of self-preservation, do you, Andi?” I shifted deeper. Her eyes fluttered closed.

“You should have been my first.”

The words stunned me. I froze, staring down at her. That was the hottest thing she had ever said to me.

Her eyes popped back open, pulling me from my thoughts.

I began to move. Hard, fast, and with intention. Swooping my arm under her lower back, I scooped her up and switched places, sitting her on my lap. She giggled with excitement as she dropped her ass into my lap, taking me to the hilt.

“Why are you laughing?” I teased, lifting her and dropping her harder down. She ground into me, moving her hips in a way that told me she was starting to chase her orgasm. “You said you saw the photos. You know what I’m capable of. You saw how much damage I can do to a body. Why are you letting me inside yours?” A low growl escaped my throat.

This wasn’t the right time to be doing this. We were both aware that someone—maybe more than one person—was looking for us, preparing to kill us, and yet here we were, naked and looking for release.

“Ash,” she groaned, rolling her hips. “If you want to kill me, fucking do it. But not before I come.”

It took everything in me not to laugh. She was living dangerously. For a moment, time seemed to slow, my body heat began to rise. My heart beat in my chest, the sound of blood rushing through my veins pounded in my ears, and I realized that if I wanted to, I could kill her. I could take her right here, right now, and snap her neck just as she was on the precipice of ultimate unraveling. I closed my eyes, fending off the dark thoughts of bringing my hands to her neck and squeezing.

Just to scare her a little.

I yanked her body close, our skin slapping against each other’s as she bounced. She was soft, and warm, and soothed my soul in such a way no one ever had. It was the entire reason I’d done what I did that night. Andi had always been my comfort person, even when I wasn’t allowed to be hers. Her very existence did something to me, almost changing my chemistry, turning me into something I wasn’t. Good and Bad.

Good for me.

Good for her.

Bad for everyone else who tried to take her from me.
