If she gives me the contract that she just offered me, I think it’s fair to say that she won’t be leaving anytime soon. She’ll be overseeing my renovation.

I shit you not. They offered me everything I wanted. I get the location a few doors down, worth way more than my current location. They’ll cover the cost of the renovations, and I can keep the doors open until it’s time to empty the appliances and the furniture from the current location and move them over.

Obviously they want your building and they’re willing to do what it takes. Proud of you for standing your ground about what you needed.

They do. She’s going to reach out to you tomorrow about being the general contractor for this project. I told her I want it written into the deal. You can choose the subs, and if you need more, they said they’ll fly people in.

These guys were my family, and Cutler Heart was the only person I’d want working on this project. He was also an architect, so I’d have him take a look at the plans, but I didn’t think we’d need anything overly formal. I trusted him with my life, so if I was renovating anything, I wanted him involved.
