Jealousy quickly coils around my stomach because who the fuck does this bitch thinks she is? Silas would never touch another woman that way, even before I met him, I know he isn’t like that.
“Leave her alone, Riz. She’s stuck in here just like the rest of us.” The one with the pink hair comes to my defence, but Riz on the other hand, she’s very much pissed with me.
“Look,” I plead, raising my hands in surrender. “I don’t want any trouble alright, I have no fucking idea why I’m here, or who the both of you are.” Shuffling backwards slightly, I plaster my back to the wall, my gaze bouncing between the both of them and even though pinky-pie came to my aid, I shouldn’t trust her so easily.
It’s every woman for themselves in a place like this.
Riz cocks her brow at me, a wicked gleam in her eye then she turns to look at the other woman. “Why don’t you go and have a little chat with those freaks inside your head, Dolly? I’m here for this bitch, and this bitch only.” She looks at me as she spits the words out, causing my stomach to turn itself inside out because the last thing I need is a fist fight, especially when my body hasn’t even had the chance to recover from the battering that I got before.
Riz looks like the kind of woman who sits on men for fun, and I fear I may be her next seat if I don’t get my shit together. She curls her hands into fists, her steps slow and calculated as she begins to walk towards me.
“What’s the matter, hm? Scared that big daddy Silas will want me more than you when I’ve plastered your remains across this floor? He always did love a rough woman.”
I grimace at her words and slide myself along the wall in an attempt to put as much distance between us as I can. “He’s not really a fan of rabid dogs, so no, I’m not too worried about that actually.” I spit back, feigning an ounce of confidence, but deep down, I’m ready to shit myself and Riz knows it. She’s the kind of woman who can smell fear a mile off, and Lord knows I reek of it.
I catch Dolly across the room, a small smirk on her face at my comment. She tries to cover the laugh with her hand, but it blurts out, forcing Riz to snap her gaze towards her. Fury spreads across her face, anger boiling over like a volcano as she starts towards Dolly, but I quickly intervene, just like Dolly did for me.
“Hey, mongrel? You’re here for me, aren’t you?”
“What did you just call me?” She spits back; dark eyes fully locked on me now.
“Surely you know what a mongrel is, right? A crossbreed dog, you know, the ones that people never want.” As soon as the words leave my mouth, I know I’ve touched a major nerve because she wastes no time in striding towards me, fists at the ready and it’s now or never. I have to shove every ounce of fear that I have down to be able to fight my way out of here.
Arms swing, the edge of her knuckle barely grazing my face as I manage to duck out of her way, giving me a prime opportunity to land a blow into her stomach. She doubles over, holding herself tightly and then she’s back up again, flinging her fist at me. Pain radiates across my face as she lands a crack on my jaw, sending my mind spinning.
I stumble over my feet, my vision blurry from the blow. “You fucking bi–”
Riz strikes again and I manage to dodge her this time, giving me another chance to hit her. I aim for her face and hit the target right on. Blood spurts from her nose like a leaky tap and she wails in pain; her hands soaked in the stuff as she cups her probably broken nose. Dizziness has her staggering backwards and I use this precious time to get my bearings together.
“Here,” I turn to face Dolly as she shouts for me. She shoves a plastic spoon sharpened to a deadly point, into my hand. “It’s the only way you’re gonna make it out of here.”
“I... I can’t use this.” I stammer, my hand shaking around the shiv. “I’ve never killed anyone in my life.”
“Well, you’re gonna have to cause here she comes.” Dolly tips her head towards Riz who comes barrelling at me, sending her shoulder straight into my stomach. My back slams against the floor, forcing my teeth to clatter like shattered glass in my mouth. A stabbing pain blooms across my stomach, radiating outwards towards my limbs.
“I’ll fucking kill you!” Riz screams in my face before sending her fists flying into my face, busting my lip and nose wide open. Warm blood sprays across my skin and even though my body is screaming at me, I pull my arms up to cover my face as a shield, blocking each attack.
Tears begin to stream down my face, my fight slowly burning out.
Riz sends another fist into my stomach, forcing blood to spray out of my mouth, no doubt fracturing my ribs even more.
“Fuck, I can’t wait for Silas to see you like this whilst he’s fucking me.”
Fucking her? I don’t think so.
Her spiteful words stab into my brain, creating a vicious monster inside of me because if anyone is fucking Silas, it’s gonna be me.
Just as she rears her fist back again, I move my arms and spit the blood into her eyes. She panics when her vision blurs, giving me the perfect chance to grab the collar of her jumpsuit.
“You’re mine, motherfucker.” I spit through gritted teeth and ram the shiv into her throat until I can feel the warmth of her blood covering my hand. Choked gurgles spill from her parted lips, her hands flailing aimlessly as she tries to grab a hold of my wrist.
“Y... you... fu...”
I shove the shiv in further. “You’ll what, hm?” I say through bated breaths. “You’ll do nothing.”
Riz continues to choke on her own blood above me, then her body falls limp and I rip out the shiv before shoving her onto the floor. She lands in a heap, crimson blood pooling underneath her onto the bright white floor. Immediately my hands begin to shake, an electrocuting current of adrenaline coursing through my veins.
I drop the shiv and curl into a ball, a cocktail of emotions wracking my body. I cry and cry until I feel a hand on my shoulder, causing me to jump in fright.
