Slowly, he lifts his head to look at me. “Forgive me, please. I’ll beg for you. Whatever you want of me, I’ll do it... just please, forgive me for what I said to you.”
My bottom lip begins to tremble, seeing him like this after what happened before is enough to crack my heart in two, so I place my hand underneath his jaw and usher for him to stand up instead. He willingly follows my lead, the palms of his hands never leaving my body as he gently drags them upwards.
I cup his jaw and run my fingers over the beard that’s growing on his chiselled face. My thumb finds the scar that cuts through his top lip, carefully I caress the mark with the pad of thumb, causing him to close his eyes for a moment and push his face further into my hand.
“I don’t ever want you to beg for me, Silas, not like this and especially not here.” I say firmly, my tone still soft. “There’s nothing to forgive because I knew what you were trying to do, but there’s nothing that you could do to make me hate you. I’m too far gone for you.”
Keeping one hand on my hip, he lifts his other and cups my hand over his cheek. “But... what I did?-”
I cut him off and pull him closer until our bodies conceal the bars between us. “You didn’t do anything. What happened back there wasn’t your fault, you did what you had to do... to protect me, and that’s something that I wish I could take away from you.”
“I’d do anything for you. Anything that you ask of me, I’ll do it.”
A small smile tips up the corner of my lips. “I know you would, and I’d do the same for you. We’re in this together, right?”
Silas drops his gaze for a moment, like there’s something plaguing his mind.
“How can you still want me? How can you even look at me after that? After what I did with him.”
I try to lift his face to look at him. “Look at me, baby.”
“I... can’t, you have no idea the amount of shame I have.” Hurt lances through his voice, cracking his words in two.
“Then give it to me, let me hold all that pain for you.” I urge, and he finally allows me to look at him again. Tears well in his eyes and with my thumb, I quickly catch the stray tear and wipe it away before pulling his face closer to me. His lips are inches from mine, the energy between us crackling to life.
“Use me, Silas.” I whisper against his lips. “Sink into me, give me all that hurt that’s too heavy to carry. Fall in love with me all over again.”
He runs his nose up the side of mine and his hands find my hips again, like they’re always meant to be there.
“That’s the thing, little demon.” A grin pulls at my lips when I hear my pet name again. “I never stopped falling for you.”
Kissing Iris Winter is like coming home, and I never thought that I’d make it home ever again. There was a point in time where I thought I’d lost her forever, that my cruel and hurtful words shunned her away, when in reality, she’s a lot stronger than I’ll ever be. And if she sees me trying to fuck things up between us, you best believe she’ll put me back in my place again.
Gripping her hips tightly, I fist the material of the jumpsuit in a punishing hold until I hear her whimper into my mouth. Immediately I break the kiss, worry etching my features as I give her a look over.
“Shit, I’m sorry... I shouldn’t have–”
“Shut up and kiss me again.” She says breathlessly, and I’m not willing to argue with that. “Yes ma’am.”
“That’s a good boy.” She teases and I slam my mouth back onto hers, grinning widely against her lips.
Boner alert. I’m now Iris’s good boy, and I couldn’t be fucking happier about that.
As she runs her tongue across my lips, I groan shamelessly into her mouth and push my hips into hers, shoving as much as I can against the bars that separate us. Sparks explode in my veins as she guides her hands up my arms, the pads of her fingers tracing the veins on my arms like a map until she reaches my shoulders. Her nails dig into my muscles, whimpers joining together as I swirl my tongue around hers like I’m exploring her for the first time.
We’ve never gone this long without each other and I’m starving for her– a desperate fucking mess. There isn’t enough time on this planet for me to consume her and I’ll forever chase this woman to the ends of the earth.
Desperation consumes my mind like a foreign entity as my hands roam the entirety of her body, remembering her curves, the way she arches her back into me whenever I run a hand up her spine.
Iris is my prized possession; a wicked force sent to this planet to bring me to my knees.
She breaks the kiss slightly, leaving us both breathless, her words a sinful whisper against my lips. “Touch me, please.”
I trail my fingers over her shoulders until I reach the back of her neck, then I plunge my hand into her midnight hair to pull her head back. Desire clouds her ocean eyes as she looks up at me, the slenderness of her neck on full display.
“Tell me what you need, little demon, I’m right here. Let my hands tell you how sorry I am.” I plead against her jaw, my teeth nipping gently at her skin. She shudders in my hold as I continue towards the shell of her ear. “Let me beg for your forgiveness, please.”
You’re so far gone for this woman, Silas.
