“No, it’s not!” Christian bucked his eyes. “It’s eight o’clock.” He jerked his head to the side.
I turned around and saw a group of women along with two guys making their way into the section. Every one of them was drop-dead gorgeous. They clearly had a theme, as they were all dressed in black leather.
One of the women who had eyes that matched Christian’s walked right up to Viper, completely ignoring Tammy running her mouth to him. She slung her arms around his neck right as he dropped his head and kissed her deeply. Tammy’s face turned beet red as the couple made out in front of her as if she wasn’t standing there.
Good. That’s what her ass gets for trying to get at someone’s husband.
“You didn’t have to stake your claim, sweetie. I didn’t mean to intimidate you by just talking to him,” she said with hostility dripping in her tone.
The woman pulled away from Viper with a scowl. She was silent for a moment before she burst into laughter.
Tammy's face twisted into a grimace. “What the hell is so funny?”
“Obviously you. A bitch with at least two square feet of forehead and a body built like a wet cigarette could never intimidate me.”
Kira and I looked at each other before we started giggling. Tammy gazed around the group and noticed that most people were laughing. She turned back to the woman like she was ready for war.
Tammy opened her mouth, but the woman beat her to the punch. “Look. I’m going to warn you now. My patience is like a gift card. I never know how much of it is left. So, if you swipe this motherfucker, don’t say shit when I put your head through that glass table.”
I’m glad Tammy smartened up and left well enough alone. Because if she followed through with that promise, I knew Kira and I would stand back and watch.
Tammy snatched her clutch off the couch and stormed away. “Fuck this. I don’t want to be in this funky-ass section, anyway.”
Morgan and Emily were following behind her until they realized Kira and I weren’t moving. Morgan turned around, glaring at me. “Aren’t you coming?”
“Nope. I refuse to let you and your friends ruin my last night here. I’ll see you back at the hotel.”
“Okay.” Morgan angrily nodded before stomping away.
As soon as they were gone, it was like the entire mood in the section shifted. The ladies ushered Kira and me onto the dance floor. Initially, they all reacted the same way as Blade and Christian did to the resemblance between Bianca and me. Honestly, I think that’s what broke the ice. Especially once she declared we were twins.
Kira and I danced and took shots for hours with these ladies as if we had known them our entire lives. Every now and then, Christian would pull me away from the group, vying for my attention. Which I happily obliged. In just the few hours of partying with them, I was having more fun than I have had in years.
For once, I felt like the old Brittney. Carefree and happy. Before I knew it, it was three in the morning, and the club was getting ready to close. I didn’t want this to be over.
“Are y’all coming with us? We’re about to hit up this spot a few minutes down the strip to get food,” Bianca asked as we walked out of the club.
I turned to Kira, who nodded. Axel stood behind her with an arm slung around her neck as he leaned down to whisper in her ear. Whatever he was saying made her cheeks flush pink.
Christian spun me around, bringing my body against his. “Mmm, so I have you for a little bit longer?”
The liquor I had consumed gave me all the courage in the world. I wrapped my arms around his waist, tilting my head up. “You have me for the night.”
He grinned deviously. Boldly, he dropped his head, pecking my lips. “Music to my fuckin’ ears, beautiful.”
I woke up hazy and disoriented. I was also stark naked. I glanced behind me and saw Christian on his back, slightly snoring. My memory from last night was a little fuzzy, but I definitely couldn’t forget what happened once we came back to his room. He had stamina for days. He spent hours inside me before we finally drifted off to sleep. I had no regrets. Even though it was completely out of character for me, it was worth it. But now it was time to get back to reality.
As quietly as I could, I slid out of the bed and got dressed. I grabbed my clutch and phone before taking one last look at Christian. For some reason, my heart ached at the thought of leaving him without saying goodbye. But that would only make things ten times harder. Both of us were here on vacation and probably would never see each other again.
Once I was in the hall, I called Kira. Even though she was in the room next to me with Axel, I didn’t want to go inside and possibly see him in the nude. After the fourth ring, Kira picked up.
“Yeah?” she groggily answered.
“Get dressed. I’m in the living room. We have two hours to get to the airport,” I whispered.
“Oh crap. Here I come.” She hung up. Two minutes later, she came out of the room. We tiptoed through the suite, making our exit. As we got on the elevator, I noticed Kira was quieter than normal.
“You alright?” I asked her in concern.
