Anna looks up from her phone, pleased. “Such a great video. Created a lot of buzz, and it’s relatable.”

I nod slowly, setting my coffee down.

“The skincare brand we talked about?” she starts, flipping through her notes. “They want you onboard starting in the spring, a three-month contract.”

I perk up, sitting a little straighter. I’d been hoping for something long-term, but short-term contracts are easier to test the waters with. If it goes well, it could lead to something bigger.

“They’re focusing on their new radiance serum launch, heavy on the science-backed, dermatologist-approved angle, so it aligns really well with your brand.”

I nod, interested. “And deliverables?”

Anna waves a hand. “A couple of campaign shoots, social posts, and a video component—something glossy, high-production, very luxury.”

“That sounds great to me.”

She makes a note before sliding into the next update. “Oh, and Bronco. Locked in.”

“No way,” I say, my grin widening.

“Way.”

I laugh, shaking my head. I’d been eyeing a Bronco partnership for months, and now it’s actually happening.

“They’re excited,” Anna continues. “It’ll be tied to an outdoor campaign—active, road trip vibes, adventure meets classic cool.”

“That’s perfect,” I say, already picturing the visuals. “What’s the timeline?”

“First shoot in early spring. There’ll be an in-person meeting in a few weeks to go over branding, concepts, and finalize creative direction.”

I nod, buzzing with excitement.

Anna leans back in her chair. “Perks of being one of the rare people in Hollywood who can actually drive.”

I snort, shaking my head. “You say that like it’s some elite skill.”

“In this industry? It is.” She grins.

I laugh but then raise a brow, shooting her a playful look. “And you wanted me to have a full-time driver.”

Anna waves a hand, dismissing it with a smile. “Yeah, yeah, you’re right. You love being behind the wheel. I get it. And it paid off, literally.”

I grin, leaning back in my chair, satisfied. This is the part of my job that I love. Partnerships that actually make sense. Deals that aren’t just for pr but for things I’d genuinely use, things that align with my image. For the first time in weeks, it feels like I’m actually back in control. Sitting here with Anna, talking strategy, mapping out my next moves… This is my normal. Not navigating rumors. Not selling a fake relationship. Not Grayson. Just me, making choices for myself.

Anna flips a page in her notes, her voice turning just a little too casual. “Oh, and you’re in the running for that best-selling romance adaptation.”

I pause, blinking. That project has been buzzing around Hollywood for months. The kind of hyped-up book-to-film adaptation that’s bound to be a box office hit if done right.

“I think you’re getting it,” Anna says confidently.

I tilt my head. “You think?”

“I know.” She leans back, crossing her arms. “You’re perfect for the role, Charlie. And the studio loves you.”

She adds, “We’ll have to dye your hair dark.”

I shrug, unbothered. “Part of the job.”

She smiles approvingly. “Spoken like a pro.”
