“I swear, if you don’t let me come, I’m going to light this whole fucking room on fire,” I threatened. “Fireproof or not, I will leave you the fuck in here.”
If I could have stomped my foot, I would have.
York smirked, his toffee skin holding nothing but sin that tasted better than candy. And Palmer grinned against my neck, storms in his fingertips as he skimmed electric touches down my sides.
Apparently, threats were the magic words tonight. Because they speed up, losing a bit of their rhythm as they pushed me over that blissfully sweet edge.
Just as I opened my mouth to scream through my toe-curling orgasm, Palmer muted me.
“Asshole,” I hissed into his mind, panting as I hung my head.
“Your parents just walked in,” he whispered, ragged breaths breezing across my slick skin. “It makes no difference to me, Love, but I thought you might care. I muted all three of us.”
“Oh, darling daughter,” Charlie shouted from the foyer, his voice booming even on the third floor.
“Sloane,” Papi yelled right after… You know, in case I didn’t hear them summon me the first time.
I scrunched my face, muttering, “Fuck my life. We’re covered in blood.”
“And that’s unusual?” York mused.
“It’s my blood.”
Palmer stifled a chuckle. “That is unusual.”
I glared at them, my legs shaky as the vines released their hold.
“Why does it smell like blood?” Rig asked, his voice muffled.
“Vampires live here,” Amelia stated, matter-of-fact.
“It’s Sloane’s blood,” Nate snarled.
“Oh, gods,” I groaned. “Whose idea was it for them to come over so early?”
Palmer and York laughed obnoxiously. I massaged my temples, noting the healing holes left in my arms. My legs would look way worse.
“You have impeccable timing,” I complained, not sure if I was talking to my mates or my parents.
“Let’s shower,” York suggested. “Novak is going to stall them.”
“Better send Briggs,” Palmer teased. “Novak will tell them what we were doing.”
I stopped at the bathroom door, turning to smile at them. “You look like you just left a bloodbath.”
“Blood fuck,” my mage corrected. “Rather enjoyable. Highly recommend it.”
“Ten out of ten,” York joked with Palmer. “Will definitely recommend to my friends.”
“If they schedule ahead of time, I’ll even give them a discount,” I deadpanned.
Wednesday, June 24th
Late Night
After a shower, I escorted Sloane to the living room to meet her parents.
Escorted wasn’t the right word, though.
