Chapter 40
Ivy
Ronan got me back to their house in record time. I barely noticed us coming to a screeching halt, my attention solely focused on breathing through the cramps and need that was ramping up through my body. The door opened, and Ronan lifted me out of the seat, then turned and ran toward the house.
All I could do was marvel at his solid chest, admiring his thick muscles and running my hands all over him. I couldn’t believe how nice his skin felt as I cupped his neck, reaching down the V of his T-shirt to reach for his warm chest.
“Omega,” He said, his voice low and desperate.
“Sorry,” I said, giggling slightly as he rushed me inside. But even then, I couldn't stop. Not when his deep cocoa and burnt marshmallow scent was now stronger, my omega senses seeking more of it as I buried my face in his chest.
“Get her to the guesthouse!” I heard another voice call out. I turned to see Elias - and boy, was I looking at him in a new way. He had his T-shirt displaying his long, lean arms, his sweats still on, having never changed this morning. Good, I thought. I want his natural scent.
“The dog sitter is on her way,” Hunter said, appearing around the corner, his blue eyes widening as he saw me. His hair was askew for once, and my mouth watered at the sight of him.
“I’m taking her to her nest!” Ronan bellowed as he rushed past them. I tried to crawl up over his shoulder to get a better look at Elias and Hunter, but Ronan held me tightly as he ran through the house and out to the back. I couldn’t help but let out a small whine of disagreement, and felt Ronan’s grip tighten slightly in response as he nearly halted.
“Almost there,” he managed, his jaw clenched as he fumbled with the guest house door handle. We burst inside the cottage, and he carefully took me to the room I’d spent the last few days preparing. Thankfully, I had it mostly ready. Ronan set me on the new, soft, luxury mattress, the comforter and soft sheets enveloping me as I sank down into it. The small lights scattered around the ceiling were already set at a nice, low glow, but Ronan grabbed the remote control and handed it to me.
“Here, make yourself comfortable.” He said, and I felt my body relax into the nest. This was perfect - everything I needed to feel safe and secure. The room was large enough to fit a massive bed, but it had only one window with light-blocking curtains, so I felt a sense of privacy. There was a noise machine in the corner, and I set it to a background of soft rain sounds while I lowered the lights more. On the side table was a pair of soft pajamas, and I grabbed them and yanked off my slacks before pulling off my collared shirt, desperate to get into something soft and breathable.
“Uh, I’ll see myself out,” Ronan said, averting his eyes. “The dog sitter is going to pick up Puff now, and watch him until you’re feeling better. I’ll be outside standing guard.” He turned to go, but before he could take a step, I’d sprung over the mattress and grabbed his thick arm, my grip tight on him.
“You’re not going anywhere,” I said, my voice serious and low. And I meant it - I wanted this big, dark, handsome alpha here with me, with his deep cocoa scent blending with my perfume. Ronan took one look at me and nodded.
“Alright, what do you need?” He asked, his caution and respect warring with his alpha instinct to get nearer to me. I could see his nostrils flare when my glands sent out another burst of perfume, my arousal now so strong that my scent was pure and sweet. “Oh, fuck,” He said, his eyes nearly rolling back when he smelled it. I loved that it was having this much of an effect on him. He looked back at me, his eyes dark and his breathing restrained. “What do you need, omega?” He asked again.
“Take off your clothes. And bring your pack in here,” I ordered. I was done pretending I didn’t want them here. I knew what it felt like to go through a heat alone, my body crying out for my mates. And I wasn’t going to go through it again.
“Alright. I’ll do as you say, but maybe not in that order,” Ronan said, and turned slowly, like he didn’t want to set one foot outside of this room. I watched him leave, going to the guest house front door. He bellowed out for his pack, and I was soon in the soft, cool shorts and tank top pajama set, my body heating up more now as the pain gave way to need and desire.
It didn’t take long at all for Elias and Hunter to arrive. Thank God, I thought, instantly feeling better now that all three were here. Elias looked me up and down, and he stepped into the room cautiously.
“Ivy? How are you feeling?” He asked. I was still aware of my surroundings, so I tried to answer normally.
“I’m fine. It’s not as bad as last time, but I’m going to lose my mind soon,” I said, knowing that once the heat took over, I’d be begging for so many things that I normally wouldn’t. Elias nodded, a lock of hair falling onto his forehead. God, he looked so attractive, with his glasses on like some kind of professor. I wanted to throw him down under me and have my way with him. I straightened, realizing my body was going to take over soon.
“Before that happens, can you tell me what you need and what’s off limits?” He asked. I took a deep breath. I knew that no matter what happened, they would respect my wishes.
“I want you here to help me,” I said, looking at them. “All of you. That’s what I want.” I said, my mind made up. Elias looked at Hunter and Ronan, and nodded.
“Okay. Have you taken a knot before?” Elias asked carefully. I smelled the strong hit of Hunter and Ronan’s scent fill the room at the mention of a knot. I shook my head.
“Only with toys, never the real thing,” I admitted. But I was ready for the real thing - I was craving it. Elias held his arm out to pre-emptively stop his packmates from coming any closer.
“Alright. In that case, we will start off slow, and be very careful.” He said, looking back at his pack mates and emphasizing his words to them. He turned back to me. “They will go into a rut the moment you finally cross into your full heat. But I’ll be here the whole time, Ivy.” Elias said, his voice kind as he looked at me. “If you feel uncomfortable or if anything’s wrong, I’ll be right here. Okay?” Elias’s words were so soft and caring. But I didn’t have any hesitations with them. My body felt fine - more than fine. I was right where I wanted to be. I nodded at him.
“That’s perfect. But I really, really need some help right now.” I said, looking at the three of them. “And for Pete’s sake, come join me already!”
Chapter 41
Elias
I could barely believe what just happened. I knew Ivy might want us to help her through her heat, but this was a step so large that I was still shocked that she’d asked for help so quickly - and was so adamant that she wanted us. And still, looking down at her now, her dark waves splayed around her shoulders as she looked up at us with those dark, needy eyes… it was like nothing I could ever have imagined.
And yes, I had imagined it before. I was still a man, after all. I’d imagined this over and over, wondering what it would be like for Ivy to accept us, to want us to help her through such an intimate and personal time. I wanted this more than anything, but in my imagination, she was hesitant and shy. This Ivy, in front of me, was ravenous. She looked at us like she was two seconds from tearing our clothes off if we didn’t get moving. I looked down at her shorts, where a damp spot from her slick was starting to form.
Quickly, I sat on the bed, unbuttoning my shirt with one hand while I reached for her with my other. I cupped her face, feeling the heat and sweat beading on her skin. “Ivy, you’re incredible,” I said, taking my shirt off as fast as I could. I heard my packmates behind me, the shuffling letting me know that they, too, were undressing.
