“Morrigan,” Moon said.

Mayhem’s attention snapped back to her. “What about her?”

“I saw her, too,” she said.

“Where?” Mayhem asked.

“She was at a cabin,” Moon said.

“How do you know?” Mayhem asked.

She shrugged. “I just know,” Moon said.

“What else did you see?” he asked.

Moon swallowed. “Cages.”

Tempest appeared in the doorway. She had clearly heard enough. “What kind of cages?”

Moon looked at her Prez. “Wolf cages.”

Tempest’s expression hardened. “How many?”

“Dozens,” Moon said.

Chris slowly stood again, and Moon started to protest, but Chris held up a hand. “Save it.” Her VP looked at Tempest. “We have people missing?”

“Not from Dark Chaos,” Tempest said.

Howler’s voice came from behind Tempest as he stepped into the clinic. “But Silverfang does.”

Mayhem went still. “How many?”

Howler’s jaw tightened. “Six over the last year.”

Chrome turned. “You told me they left.”

“That’s what we thought,” Howler said. Moon’s wolf surged, and she knew that they hadn’t left. They were taken. Morrigan hadn’t come to Baltimore only for her. She had been building something for a long time.

Mayhem’s hand closed around Moon’s. “What else did you see?”

Moon looked at him. “A symbol on the cabin.”

“The crescent and thorns?” he asked.

“Yes,” she breathed.

Tempest’s eyes hardened. “Then we find it.”

Moon shook her head. “I don’t know where it is.”

Chris looked toward her. “But you saw snow.”

“Yes,” Moon admitted.

“And mountains,” Chris continued. “And my bike.”

Moon paused. “Yes.”
