“Not yet, Philly. I need to talk to Neil.”
“He’s in our backyard. Let me get him.”
Sebastian realized that never in his life had he been to Ophelia and Neil’s house. There had been plenty of times that Philly had spent the night at the Durand house to take care of him if he’d been sick or something, but never had he been to the Heberts’ home.
“Thanks, Philly.”
He continued to follow the navigation system through the streets of Baton Rouge, then he heard Neil’s voice.
“What do you need, son?”
“The man who has taken Gianna used to live in Landry Parish, right near the Atchafalaya Swamp.”
“And you think that’s where he’s going to take her?”
“He was heading west on I-10 out of Baton Rouge.”
“Okay, I see your point. But, son, you won’t just be able to go out there and find her. It’s too big,” Neil whispered.
“I know that. We’re finding out who his people are. One way or another, they’ll tell us something.”
“Okay. Okay. What do you need?”
“Even if we have a direction to go in, we are still going to be in trouble, unless we have one of them leading us right to her.”
“Do you think that’s likely?”
“I don’t know, Neil. Maybe. But if we only get pointed in the right direction, I’m going to need some trackers with me and Gideon. People I trust. People who know the bayou.”
“People like Fergus and Callum,” Neil said.
“Exactly.”
“I’ll start rounding them up, boy. We’ll head up your way. You give us a meeting spot.”
“It won’t be tonight. Hopefully tomorrow. But keep them on standby.”
“Will do.”
