Hannah palmed the front of his jeans, she stroked his erection.
“She said I deserved gorilla sex.”
“Huh?”
“Take off your clothes, Max, and I’ll show you.”

Hannah was nervous as she walked out onto the big deck at Kane’s gorgeous home. It was filled with people. The last time she’d been at a party this big, it had been in L.A., and she’d hated those.
“Hey, Max!” Kane shouted from the barbeque. “Glad to have you back.” She’d met him a few times when he’d come over to their house.
Every face on the deck turned to them. They all saw Zephyr in Max’s arms, and they didn’t swarm—they were all too smart for that—for which Hannah was greatly appreciative.
Zed broke apart from the crowd. He was carrying the cutest little girl. She had dark curls like Zephyr’s, big brown eyes, and she was wearing all pink and fairy wings. A beautiful woman was walking beside them.
“Hiya, Mr. Zed,” Zephyr called out from the safety of his father’s arms. Both children studied one another, then the girl whispered into her father’s ear.
“Zephyr, I’d like to introduce you to my daughter, Lulu.”
“Hiya, Lulu,” Zephyr smiled. He wiggled and Max put him down. “Can you fly?” he asked Lulu.
“Oh God,” her mother said.
Zed set her down.
“Remember what I told you,” her mother warned her.
She shoved her fists on her hips and frowned up at her mother. “I remember,” she said with a pout. She’s adorable, Hannah thought.
“Lulu,” Zed’s voice contained a low warning.
“Fine, I can’t jump off things. I might get hurt,” she huffed.
“I will take your wings away from you,” the woman said matching her child’s huff.
Hannah heard Max’s cough that was clearly covering a laugh.
“Dad, can I have wings?” Zephyr asked.
“No!” Max and Hannah said simultaneously.
“Let’s go into the kitchen,” Lulu said. “Miss A.J. said I could help ice cupcakes. Wanna help?”
“Can I lick the spoon?” Zephyr asked Lulu.
“Only after I do.”
“Zephyr, use a different spoon, okay?” Hannah called after the little boy as he ran after Lulu back into the house.
“Why in the hell did you buy her those wings?” the little woman growled at Zed.
“Hi, Hannah, let me introduce you to my wife, Marcia,” Zed smiled at Hannah. She smiled and held out her hand to Hannah.
“Let me show you around. Kane’s barbecuing; it’s his house,” Marcia explained.
“I met him. I also met A.J. when we came in.”
