“It’s a long story, but I survived it all.” She went back to her milkshake just as Lincoln came in.

“You’re good with my driver taking you back to the airport?” Lincoln asked Mr. Parker.

Mr. Parker wiped his hands down his chef’s whites and nodded. “Yep, I’m all done.”

“Good, he’s here. But I can drop you off if you prefer? We’re off on a little trip of our own.”

“Nah, Lincoln, I don’t want to intrude. I’ll see you soon, though, right?” Mr. Parker held a hand out in question.

“As soon as I get back to New York you know I’ll be there.” Lincoln shook Mr. Parker’s hand and then turned to Roxie. “Ready?”

“Yeah, let me just say goodbye once more.”

Roxie hugged the man and told him goodbye before she turned to Lincoln. “I’m ready.”

“I hope you are.” Lincoln grinned and led her out to the car. “You look good by the way.”

“Thanks, so do you.” She replied, noting that Lincoln was in his normal Brioni suit.

“That’s very kind of you.” He replied smoothly, but she saw the smirk on his face.

“Dick.” She muttered but he heard her.

“I have one, yes. And I love how you take it.” He said with a cheeky wink as he got into the driver’s seat.

“You asshole. I still hate you, you know?” She asked, her left eyebrow lifted in challenge.

“I know. I still hate you too.” He started the engine and Roxie turned to him, a question on her lips.

“How is the driver going to take Mr. Parker back?” She asked, worried the man might miss his flight.

“He’s going to use Mandy’s car.” Lincoln moved the car around traffic and soon had them headed for the airport.

“Where are we going?” She finally asked, wondering because he hadn’t told her to pack anything.

“To a little place in Charlotte, North Carolina. You’ll like it.” Lincoln didn’t turn his head away from traffic as he drove along.

It was a short drive to the airport and soon enough they were in the air.

The plane was a Beechcraft King Air 350 that belonged to Kai, according to Lincoln. Roxie noted the pilots closed the wood panel doors to the cockpit after a brief chat with Lincoln before they took off.

“Everything alright?” She asked once they were in the air and cruising along.

“Fine, really.” Lincoln uncoupled his seatbelt and came to kneel in front of her. “How are you?”

“I’m good. What are you doing?” She asked, an intrigued smile letting him know she was open to anything.

“I’m telling you happy birthday again.” He answered smoothly as he used the palms of his hands to spread her knees apart. His head came down to tease at her neck, pulling a throaty chuckle from her.

“Like that is it?” She asked with a hitch in her voice, excitement already flooding through her.

“Definitely,” Lincoln said softly as he pulled her hips out a little then pushed up the hem of her dress. “You won’t need these for now.”

He pulled down the white lace and satin panties she wore before he stuffed the undergarment in the pocket of his pants. Once he had her exactly where he wanted her, his head came down to kiss her right thigh, then the left. “You are beautiful, Roxie and you deserve a lifetime of birthdays just like this.”

His fingers retraced the steps his lips took as they traveled up her thighs and then up to her center. Roxie forgot how to breathe the moment his tongue found the perfect spot, her fingers gripped into the supple leather armrests. Everything in the plane was white but Roxie didn’t care about that, not when he slipped a finger inside of her.

It occurred to her that he hadn’t undressed her, except for her panties. He hadn’t touched her anywhere above her waist, he’d only touched what was below. It didn’t matter though, her breath still caught in her chest as his lips sucked at the button that seemed to contain a million nerve endings, each one sending a burst of pleasure through different parts of her body.
