“No, that’s not what I was getting at.” Lincoln was the one who sighed this time, his brown eyes troubled and looking for a safe place to land.

“Are you blushing?” She asked before she could clamp down on the question.

“Probably. Look, I’ve never done this kind of thing before,” he spit out but finally met her eyes. “I want you to teach me how to use that room upstairs.”

“Oh?” She wasn’t sure whether it was a surprise or a question. Maybe both.

“I have no experience in this area, Roxie.” His voice still didn’t sound comfortable saying her chosen name, but he’d learned to use it instead of the name she’d been given at birth, at least.

“Alright. And you want me to - what? Take money for sex?” She was about to be really pissed off, but he jumped in again to deny the question.

“No, Roxie. Fuck no!” He shot up out of the chair and started to pace the length of the kitchen. “I want you to teach me how to be…whatever that room entails. Whatever makes your brain tick in that world as you see it.”

His words faltered as he fought to find the right ones that wouldn’t offend her and still get his point across. His hands waved at the room, his eyes flitting between her and the ceiling of the kitchen.

“I see.” She murmured, her elbows on the table, hands clasped together. Rather than getting angry, she waited for him to finish, slightly amused at his discomfort. “You want me to teach you to be a dom?”

She sucked at her teeth, trying not to laugh at his discomfort. It would be rude to laugh at him and she knew it. Laughing might also put him off the idea and lead to him going about all of this the wrong way. “Or do you want me to teach you to be a sub, Lincoln?”

“What?” He looked at her now, his eyes narrowed in confusion.

“Well.” She got up from the chair and walked closer to him, following him every time he took a step back. He eventually backed right up against the wall, his hands flat against the smooth surface. “Do you want to be the one doing the spanking, Lincoln, or do you want to be the one getting spanked?”

She let the fingers of her right hand dance up his abdomen, over his chest, until she reached his chin, her index finger tapping there until he looked down at her. His nostrils were flared, his pupils dilating and retracting as thoughts flitted through his brain. “Which one is it that you want me to teach you, Lincoln?”

“I want you to teach me everything, Roxie. Everything you know.” His voice was low, rough with desire, and she couldn’t deny the way her body responded.

Heat flushed into her cheeks and her lips as she leaned closer into him, her chest against his as her face tilted up for a kiss she couldn’t deny herself. But she paused, waiting for something she couldn’t name. “Everything?”

“All of it,” Lincoln muttered as he wrapped his arms around her waist to pull her close just as his lips dropped down that fraction of an inch to meet hers at last.

Memories of the night before, of just how good that plain old vanilla sex had been with him, flooded into her mind. He’d made her feel a million different things last night, things she didn’t want to think about, but couldn’t stop herself from wanting. Her fingers clenched at his shoulders, drawing him closer while her tongue ran out of her mouth to meet his.

He tasted of coffee and cinnamon, but it was the feel of his soft lips against hers, the silky slide of his tongue that made her moan and forget what he’d asked of her. She could feel how aroused he was, and it only made her hungry for more. She’d denied she’d ever been attracted to him, had pretended she didn’t remember that night they’d spent together when she was eighteen, but she could still feel those first touches as if they were scars that her skin couldn’t forget. Ten years had passed since that night, but her body couldn’t forget him. Especially when she’d...

“Roxie.” His lips slid away from hers to moan her name, his fingers digging into her as if to draw her even closer to him.

Holy fucking shit, she had to stop this, she thought, as a figurative bucket of cold water rushed over her. Distance, she needed miles of distance between her body and his if she was going to think. She needed to be far away from the hunger in his eyes, though she knew she wasn’t going to get more than a few feet of relief.

“No, stop, Lincoln.” She held a hand up as she walked back to the table. “I’m sorry, we have to discuss this rationally. I shouldn’t have started that.”

“I’m…what?” He scrubbed at his dark hair with strong fingers, his face contorted with surprise. “I’m sorry, have I done something wrong?”

“Not at all.” She protested quickly, sitting down in the chair she’d vacated earlier. “We just need to do this rationally. We need to discuss a contract.”

“A contract?” Lincoln scoffed, laughter dancing in his eyes until he saw how seriously she stared at him. “Oh, you’re serious?”

“I am, yes. People pay a lot of money for this kind of education, Lincoln. And if it’s to be done safely and satisfactorily, we need a contract.” She stared up at him calmly, not concerned at all about the consequences of being so intimately entwined with his education into her world.

She needed the money; he wanted an education. Sure, she could have offered one of the other girls the chance to teach Lincoln about her world, could have given them the opportunity to make some money, but for old time’s sake, she’d teach him. And with a contract in place, neither one of them would break the rules, not without breaking the contract and ending the whole deal.

She could keep him at arm’s length, even with sex involved, as long as there was a contract in place. Besides, it would give them both a goal to work towards, put in place the rules they should both follow, and give her a sense of security. Sex would not be mentioned in said contract, because she did not fuck men for money. She fucked them because she wanted to, because it was part of the training, not because of the money. She’d had clients that she never had intercourse with, while with others she had. It depended on the client, on her own wishes, and what was in the contract.

In all her years in this life, she’d never broken a contract once. Clients had crossed lines a time or two, some had asked to end the contract early when someone else caught their attention, but that was part of the beauty of the contract. It kept her heart and emotions out of the business arrangement.

“A contract? Alright. What would that look like? What would be in it?” He sat down across from her again, his desire under control. Good, she noted with a slight smile.

“First, payment will be specified. This is a business arrangement, if you can agree to that then we can continue.” She paused, caught his eyes before she carried on. “Sex is up to me, not to you. If, if I decide to have sex with you during the contract, then you will ensure we are both protected against pregnancy and STDs.”
