Mia made her way to the club. She couldn't let the woman's actions slide, not after all the trouble she had caused in such a short period of time. The club was busy when Mia arrived. She didn't bother to stop at the bar. Instead, she headed straight to the back office, only nodding her head as everyone greeted her on her way. She didn't have time for chit chat, not today. They all already know why she was there so no one bothered to stop her either. She looked like she was ready for business and she was.

She knew she would do anything to make sure the new woman would realize that she had come to the wrong place to mess with people. They didn't want her around and they would get rid of her. They had to get rid of her. The only people welcomed by the Screaming Demons were people Fiona and Grier told them about and this woman had come out of nowhere. It wasn't a good sign and Mia knew it.

Mia thought of all the possible reasons this new woman could be around. She didn't seem to know anyone because she was always by herself but what could she be looking for if she was trying to break into the Screaming Demons’ offices, Mia wondered. They didn't really keep a lot of things in the office. Most of the information was kept at the house with Mia and Sage, which seemed like an excellent idea considering the possible break-in.

As she entered the office she could feel the tension coming from the girls, all of them waiting, ready to pounce if need be. There were three of them standing around the woman while she sat in the chair facing the desk. A sense of pride ran through Mia. She had the best team anyone could ask for.

"Well," she started as she made her way across the small office to take the seat behind the desk. "It looks like little miss nobody has been quite the trouble maker,” she said matter of factly. The woman looked at her. She didn't appear to be intimidated by Mia at all.

"My name is Lorraine,” she stated.

"I prefer miss nobody, that's what you are to me, nobody. You're just someone asking for attention, and the attention you're getting is not the attention you want,” Mia warned. She needed to make sure the woman knew she wasn't wanted around the club or around them. They knew how to deal with trouble and Mia had no problem with sorting her out if she had too. She would fight if she had to. She still wouldn't know exactly what to do but she would stop at nothing to win.

"I'm not here to seek attention,” Lorraine replied.

"Then why are you here and why are you trying to break into my office?" she asked. Lorraine looked at her sheepishly. Clearly, she hadn't wanted to get caught.

"I wasn't trying to break into your office,” she said. Mia couldn't believe her lies. Surely she couldn't have thought she would get away with it.

"Oh, is that right? Please explain to me exactly what you were doing with my office door then, when you were caught on your knees with a bobby pin in the keyhole?" Mia asked with raised eyebrows. She was curious about what her excuse would be.

“Um, um, it's not what it looked like,” she said. Mia almost laughed in Lorraine’s face. There was no way she could think that was a good enough answer.

"Listen, if you leave now I won't bother calling the cops and getting you arrested for breaking and entering,” Mia said. She didn't want to play any more games.

"But I didn't break into anything,” she replied.

"You clearly have no idea who you're messing with." Mia knew she didn't have any Omen symbols on her so to her it would be easy getting rid of Lorraine. She had friends around that were involved with the cops, and they would help her out no problem.

"Please, I'm not here to cause any trouble,” she begged, sensing the seriousness in Mia’s voice.

"You see the problem there is that you've already caused trouble. We want you to leave,” Mia demanded.

"I promise, I won't try anything again. I was just curious,” she pleaded.

"Curious about what?" Mia asked.

"I was just curious as to what was in here."

Her excuses are pathetic, Mia thought to herself. No normal person would break into someone's office just out of curiosity’s sake.

"It's too late for promises and excuses. You don't belong here so it's best that you leave now before you regret it,” she said. The Hell Kats behind Lorraine had already made their way to the door. They lined up on either side of the open door as Mia stood up, reinforcing her demands. Lorraine looked around, pleading with her eyes as she looked at them all. They turned away from her, showing their loyalty to Mia. They all wanted her to leave and the sooner the better.

"Okay, I'll leave,” she said as she got to her feet. She quietly walked out of the door, her shoulders straight but a look of hurt in her eyes. In a way, Mia related to her. She had held that look and walk so many times before when she had tried to keep a brave face but knew she was defeated, She didn't let her emotions stop her from doing the right thing though as she watched Lorraine leave. It's for the best, she thought.

It seemed too good to be true though. Why had she shown up if she was just going to leave so quickly, Mia thought, it didn't make any sense. She had tried to fight to stay and she had denied all the things she was accused of but she had still left without much of a fight. It couldn't be over just like that. There had to more to it, there had to be more to who this woman was. Mia knew she would have to look her up when she got home. Lorraine was too strange just to stop in and leave like that and Mia suspected it was only the beginning.

Once she was out of the room the girls closed the door behind her. Mia slumped back into her chair. She knew she was the lead but it was tiring having to make sure nothing went wrong.

"We must keep our eyes and ears open for anything that could be a threat to us. If she has tried to break into the office, who knows what she already knows,” Mia stated as she looked from each girl, all of them nodding in unison.

"What should we do if she comes back?" one asked. Mia thought about it for a while. She hoped she wouldn't try to come back but she knew what they'd have to do if she did.

"We have to kick her out if she comes back. We don't have room for trouble makers,” she said.

"How should we kick her out?" The question hung in the air. Mia hadn't thought about it but she didn't want it to be a scene if the time came.

"Do it gently, I don't want there to be a scene. Do whatever you can to get her out. She can't be trusted,” she replied. The girls knew she was right. She dismissed them and sat in her office for a while. The woman reminded her of someone, maybe herself, she couldn't put her finger on it but she was gone now and Mia could relax. She didn't see any point of staying at the club any longer so she decided to go home so she could be with Sage. Being around him would definitely make her calmer. She left the club, riding her bike instead of calling for a taxi.

She thought about the woman on her way home, how she had acted, and it didn't really make her feel safe. She had been so dismissive and so withdrawn it didn't make sense that she would have tried to break into an office. The whole situation didn't sit well with Mia.
