“At the station.”

“In handcuffs.”
“Are you hurt?”
“My shoulder is going to bruise.”

“I was grazed.”
“You were shot.”
A paramedic says something behind him.
Doc argues.
I smile.
“Harlan is alive,” I tell him. “We have his statements on my body camera. We have Vance’s confession. We have the twenty-three men. It’s over.”
Doc goes quiet.
“Say that again.”
“It’s over.”
He releases a breath.
“For Grant.”
“For Grant.”
“And Vance?”
“Dead.”
“Did he hurt you?”
“Not enough to save himself.”
Trigger leans toward Wolf.
“She’s terrifying.”
