“Yeah,” a sob escapes her. “we’re having a baby.”

My hands are on her face, pulling her mouth to mine. “We’re having a baby! This is why you’ve been acting so off?”

“Yes, I know you wanted to wait, and with everything that happened when I was born, it’s all been so much to carry.”

“You should’ve told me, Spen. I don’t care when we start a family, as long as you’re healthy and safe. That’s all I’m asking God for… is you forever.”

“And if something happens?” Her eyes fill with fear and hope. She needs to know, even if it kills me.

I press my lips to hers, breaking away just enough to whisper. “She’ll be as amazing as her mother, and I’ll never let her forget you.”

“Thank you.” She kisses me. “Thank you so much, Rush. I know it’s not something you want to think about. I just needed to know; you’ll love her as much as I already do.”

Spencer takes my hand, laying it against her belly. I’m overcome, dropping to my knees to kiss her growing stomach. She trembles, clutching onto me with all she has in her.

I rise, taking her in my arms again. “I love you, Spencer, and when I say forever, I mean it. We’ll not live a life without you, not when you’re the one that makes us spin.”

“Spin?” Her eyes flicker to mine. “As in Spen?”

“I lived a life spinning outta control until I met you. Your love helped me to right my world, and Spen in the right direction.”

She grins sheepishly. “You’re such a dork!”

“And just to think, you licked me outta all the rest.”

“I’m so glad I did, Rush.”

“So, how about we get hitched. I need to make an honest woman outta you.” I wink when she tweaks my side.

She shrugs. “I suppose we better before I start showing.”

“We’re pregnant.”

“Yes, we are, now let’s get married.” She simpers, and my heart fills with the greatest joy.

“I’ll be the one in tan, down the front.” I toss my thumb over my shoulder.

She wiggles her brows. “Ima hitcha up, maybe knock some headboards later.”

“Damn,” I adjust my cock. “I’ll be waitin’.”

She nibbles her lip, releasing it slowly. “Yeah, we might want to hurry. I got all kinds of good hormones going on, and I need some of that.”

“Love you!” I steal another kiss and bound from the tent. I can hear her laughing all the way across the lawn. I wave at the guests as I sprint by, earning me more laughter.

I hurry up the steps and into the house, stripping as soon as I get in the door. “I need a dry shirt, cologne, and everyone to get this show on the road!”

“Rush, are you two, alright?” Mom walks through the door, holding her hand to her mouth.

I nod as Crank tosses me a shirt. “Yes, but I can’t tell you yet.”

“What do you mean? Is Spencer okay?” Margo fists her hands, setting them on her side.

“Yes! Go! You’ll know when my wife says.” I freeze when my own words bring me up short. I glance around the room with a smile I can’t control. “I said, my wife. Spencer is actually going to marry me.”

My dad saunters over, putting his arms around me. “We told you, love always finds away.”

“It sure does. Thank you, dad.” I pat his back, pulling away. He hands me his handkerchief, so I can dry my eyes.
