I hold the phone back from my ear. “Holy freaking stress ball!”

“Damn! I bow to the Queen of Hump and Dump!” Millie screams through the receiver.

I fist my hair. “Are you kidding me with this?”

“You did it, now get your ass over here before we have to leave you there with him.” Her enthusiasm for my getting laid is exhausting.

“Thank you for cheering on my lack of decency and self-worth by sleeping with a stranger and leaving him.” The cab driver snaps his eyes to mine. “Oh, please, like you’re not in ‘Sin City’.”

“First of all, hell yes!” She giggles.

I bury my face in my hands, but all I can see is Lennox. “I’m on my way, thanks for waiting.”

“Who would’ve ever thought, a six p.m. flight and I wasn’t the one late.” She laughs wildly as I end the call.

I fall against the window, closing my eyes. I can smell him on me. I may never shower again. I press my fingers to my mouth, reminding myself of how he felt there. The thought of him between my legs evokes a need for him like no other.

I squeeze my thighs together as my breathing becomes labored. I’ll never forget this feeling. He’ll stay with me for the rest of my life. I know it sounds silly, but no one has ever made me feel the way he did. Beautiful.

“Are you flying commercial?” the cabbie asks.

“No, I need to go to the tarmac.”

He looks at me in the mirror. “We’ll be coming around there in ten minutes.”

“Thank you.”

I’ll be happy to be back home so everything can get back to normal. I grab my purse from the seat when a plane flies over us. I know we’re getting close. The car stops at the back gates, letting me out.

“Here you go, thanks!” I tip him big for not judging my bad decisions.

I run toward the plane and take the steps two at a time, popping through the door, as I hurry to find my seat.

“Ladies,”—I half smile— “please tell me someone got my bag.”

“Nice shirt.” Millie winks as she and the rest break into applause.

I stand, curtsy, and fall into the seat with a wince. “Oh, maybe I need to slide in.”

“Apparently, no one else did.” Millie winks.

“He did…” I bite my lip. “multiple times.”

Her mouth hangs before she finds a better reason to close it. “I hope he’s not the only one to get multiples.”

“He was not.” I close my eyes, remembering every inch of him. “He definitely knows how to use what he’s got.”

She begins to clap again, rising from her seat. “Bravo! Bravo!”

The plane begins to taxi down the runway, so I buckle my belt, settling in to relax. His scent wafts around me, and I’m lost in his arms again.

“Earth to Lola, earth to Lola.” Millie snaps her fingers.

I can’t help smiling. “What? Let me enjoy this a little longer.”

“I plan to, while you spill all the words.” She glares at me.

“What do you want, a play by play?”
