The elevator opens to the giant pool area. There’s a slide and two bars in the water, for those who refuse to get out of it. I spot some lounge chairs over in a corner, but the girls grab some, front and center.

Millie, Willow, Ryver, and Emerson drop their sarongs as a waitress comes over to take our drink orders.

“Something fruity, we’re starting out fun and will get the hard stuff later tonight,” Ryver chirps.

Emerson smiles as she lays back, soaking up the sun. “Sounds like a plan.”

“This. Is. Amazing.” I sit, sliding back as demure as possible.

Millie studies me. “Why do you still have your coverup on?”

“I don’t have a sarong, and there’s no way I’ll lay here beside you four, looking like a beached whale.”

“You’re pasty, not a whale, get over yourself.” Millie sticks her tongue out at me when I flip her off.

Willow leans forward applying sunscreen. “Who looks single? Lola, do you see any prospects?” Millie breaks out into a fit of giggles.

“I am not here for that, ladies.” I reach for some lotion. “I want to relax and enjo…” My mouth waters as a tattooed god pulls himself from the water. It runs over his tanned, muscular torso and over his toned body. My mind goes blank and all I can do is blink rapidly.

Millie waves her hand in front of my face before looking over her shoulder to check out what I’m drooling over. “For the mother of all that’s holy, who is the sex on legs?”

“Dayumm.” Millie declares as my mouth goes dry. I’ve never wanted to tackle hump someone so bad in my life.

I lick my lips, feeling parched. “I’ll take one of those to go!”

“I’d do him,” Millie chimes in, making me laugh.

Willow sets up. “What did I miss?”

“By the looks of Lola, she’s already used him up.” Emerson giggles.

“He’s gone, he had a woman on his arm anyway.” I sneer.

The day is a dream come true, we take in the sun until four, when we decide to change and go sightseeing. We play the slots and win a little cash. Dinner was the best thing I’ve ever eaten, and we have the best spot in the club that night.

The place is packed, and the sound is off the hook. A waitress shows us to our reserved table and takes our orders. Everyone wants to dance, but I lay back, watching our things and the people.

“I’ll join later. I want to people watch.” I wave as they take to the floor.

Lea’s girls are awesome. They stick together and only dance with one another, except for Millie, and they take her in like they’ve known her forever. Something catches my eye then disappears. I search the crowd as my belly flips.

“Where did you go?” I mumble to myself as I scan the room for the god.

I catch another glimpse of him, but this time, there’s a blonde on his arm and they’re walking out the door. “Damn it.”

“Damn what or who, or is it, whom?” Millie taps her chin.

I down my drink and grab my purse. “Come dance with me.” I jerk her toward the floor where the girls are, and we dance the night away.

“I’m thankful for elevator rides.” Emerson hiccups.

Willow has her face pressed against the wall. “This is so unsanitary but so cool.”

“I can’t feel my feet,” Ryver moans.

Millie raises her hand. “Agreed!”

“To which?” I cock my brow.
