“Entire weekend?”

“Thursday, Friday, Saturday, and we don’t have to be back until late Sunday.” She humps the air, pretending to smack an ass.

“When are we doing this?” I check my calendar on my phone. After a minute, I realize she hasn’t responded.

Millie stands with her hands on her hips. “Tomorrow. You’ve known since last week it was tomorrow. We discussed it because you needed to finish this job. Tomorrow.”

“I’m taking it, we’re going soon-ish.” I stare at her, stone-faced.

She crosses her arms, as her foot taps the ground. “You better be messing with me. Are you messing with me? If you’re messing with me, I’m gonna beat your ass.”

“Like I’m going to tell you if I am or not now!” I cackle as I haul ass through her front door, locking it behind me.

She beats on the door, yelling for the world to hear. “Open the door, your ass needs to get laid in Sin City … ya big titty woman!”

I unlock the door, opening it wide. “Get in here, ya hoochie! Out there yelling all my business to the world!”

“You opened the door.” She smirks as she walks past me, slapping my ass.

The plane is amazing. We touch down in Las Vegas before noon, making it the perfect time to lay by the pool once we check in. We step off the plane to find a limousine waiting for us.

“Tell Lea she’s amazing, and thank you,” I murmur as we shuffle over to the car with our bags.

Willow smiles. “Wait until you see the room, she got us. Maisyn is as good as Momma Lea.”

We take turns standing through the sunroof, upping our selfie game. There’s so much to look at, we decide to go sight-seeing this evening before dinner. The car gets quiet as we pull up to the hotel.

“It’s spectacular,” Millie mumbles.

My head bobs uncontrollably. “Seriously, though.”

We jump out, grabbing our bags, ready to get our tan on. The doorman directs us to the front desk, so we can check in. Ten minutes later, we’re on the elevator going to the penthouse.

Ryver leads the way to our room with the bellboy in tow. She opens the door, and we tip the guy, taking our bags. Our bags are dropped by the door once we spot the windows across the room.

They stretch from one side of the room to the other, with suites on either side. The sun beams through the glass as we gape at the view of Las Vegas before us.

“This will be amazing later tonight,” Willow says.

I bump her shoulder with mine. “Imagine the one from the pool.”

There’s a sudden consensus as we all scramble for our bathing suits and run to our rooms. I turn to see which way everyone went, and Millie stands on the other side.

“We voted,”—she grins—“and you get the master. Congratulations on your divorce!”

I squeal as I take off to the master suite. The quickest change ever happens in the room as we all meet back at the same time, ready to hit the pool.

“Momma Lea said everything gets billed to the room,” Willow says.

I cut my eyes to Millie, and she shrugs. “She told me the same thing.” She shows me her text message.

“I can’t do that. She’s been too kind as it is.”

“It’s not from her; it’s Aunt Thayer.” Ryver giggles.

Millie dances in place. “I love these women.”

“They’re a tribe, that’s what these women are, and they’ve taken us in.”
