That was when Leon began stammering, and that told them that once again, Hart had nailed it.

“Oh, Doc, you’re digging the hole,” Bishop said. “Hart is NEVER wrong. In fact, he used to be a cop, worse for you, a detective, and he used his gift to help people by finding killers. You’re not winning this one. Our suggestion is you answer our questions and stop lying. That only makes us believe you’re hiding shit.”

He closed his eyes, and when he opened them, it was clear he’d made up his mind.

“He’s clearing his aura,” Hart said. “He’s decided to come clean and hope we’ll give him mercy.”

The man ignored him.

But it was clear that rattled him, too.

“You’re absolutely right. I was having an affair with Wynter. Truthfully, it started accidentally. It started after her husband began his affair.”

Oh, boy.

A whole lot of dirty laundry had been aired out here. It was clear to Bishop that Wynter had NOT been okay with what happened in the static.

Because Lucian and Ridge had just consummated that relationship on this plane not that long ago.

Like yesterday.

Hart lifted a brow.

“He is telling the truth according to what he’s been told. He isn’t lying.”

Well, shit.

“Start at the beginning,” Bishop said, making him walk through all of it so they only had to do this once. “She was coming to see you because of post-partum depression, correct?”

He nodded.

“Yes. She called me right after her baby was born, and we started therapy and meds for her severe depression.”

Bishop kept going.

Who knew how long they had before this dude clammed up?

“And you had her on Zoloft?” she asked.

Again, he nodded.

Apparently, he wasn’t going to pull the ‘doctor-patient privilege card’ at this point in time. That was likely because he was scared shitless.

Now they were grateful because they’d been willing to pull the ‘we’re having a press conference and letting your name slip’ card ASAP.

Her partner was curious.

“When did you cross that line?” Honor asked, trying to stay neutral, but what she wanted to do was punch the man for preying on women who were having issues.

Because she doubted that Wynter was the only one. Predators liked to prey, and this doctor was using his skills to find those weaknesses.

No.

Doubt.

He didn’t hesitate.

“We didn’t at first. Instead, she started therapy not long after she gave birth. She asked that no one know, simply because Wynter did not like anyone up in her business.”
