His heart thumped.

That Bishop was not crucifying him, and instead understood the situation made him want to do anything he could to help her adjust.

“Just tell me what you need me to do, Bish.”

She was to the point.

“We need to stand by him and give him support in whatever he wants to do. If you both decide to continue this journey, I’m okay with it. I don’t want either of you to suffer.”

Lucian knew he didn’t deserve this mercy. Most women would have murdered him, but then again, Bishop wasn’t most women.

She was HIS woman.

“Do you believe I would never have allowed this to happen on this plane intentionally?”

She nodded without hesitation.

“I know your heart, Lucian. I trust and believe in our marriage. As long as you still have love for me, I can accept that you also have love for someone else. I understand your heart analogy. I won’t love our current child less either because I have to split the love. I can love our youngest just as much because a heart can grow.”

He held her and knew he was married to the best woman in the whole world.

Bishop was honest.

“Just be patient with me as I learn to navigate this. I’m not accustomed to sharing you. I might ask questions or react before thinking because this is a new journey for me, too.”

He stared at her.

“Baby, you’re allowed to ask questions. If anything, I owe you answers. We will be open and honest if that’s what you want. Even if that means more open than before.”

Well, good.

She hated secrets. They always got someone hurt. If they could be honest and open, she wouldn’t be afraid.

Now, though, she had a question.

“Will you be pursuing a relationship on this plane?” she asked. “Because you said the draw is strong.”

He was honest—because it proved that was always the best policy.

“It’s difficult not to want that. Like when I see you, I’m turned on. Right now, with you sitting in my lap, the beast wants his beauty.”

She understood.

“The answer to that question is complicated because it’s not just him and myself here. We have you to consider, too. If you want me to be honest, then, I will. Much like with you, I crave being near him. I don’t remember what the sex was like on this plane, but if it’s like it is in the other, yeah, it turns me on.”

Oh, she suspected.

There was the telltale pulse of his erection getting harder as he spoke about it.

“If I didn’t exist, what would happen?” she asked.

He knew the answer to that.

“Then, I would be in a relationship with Ridge. In the static, you’re not there, so we have a relationship. If there was no Bishop, and there had never been a Wynter, there would have been us as a couple. I’ve only ever wanted to marry one person—but now, I’d definitely marry two.”

Well, then, that answered her question.

“You can have that relationship with him, as long as it doesn’t diminish ours. I don’t mind sharing love. I just don’t want to wake up one morning and find out that you stopped loving me and are walking away.”
