Butch growled. “You don’t need to remind me.”

“Are you sure you want to get into this? We don’t know who is after her and how dangerous he is,” Doc pointed out. “Are you sure you want to start a battle you know nothing about?”

His grip tightened around Rae as he looked at Doc in the eyes. “Yes, I’m fucking sure. She is my world. I know I haven’t seen her in years, but I’m still in love with her. I will do anything to help her, to save her, and make her mine again.”

Doc raised his hands. “All right, sorry for asking.”

“I want to talk to Deccan,” Butch demanded.

“I’ll get him. Let me know if you need anything. Next time she wakes up, we need to get some food and liquids into her,” Doc explained before he walked out of the room.

Butch ran his hands through her hair, getting it out of her face.

“Everything is going to be okay,” he whispered. “Daddy is here to take care of you now. No one is ever going to hurt you again. Not on my watch.”

He didn’t know how long he was staring at her before Deccan came into the room.

“Doc said you wanted to talk to me?” Deccan sat in the furthest chair from them. “How is she doing?”

Butch looked up from Rae as she slept in his arms. His pride was swelling up at the fact that she was still comfortable enough to sleep in his arms.

“She’s asleep now. We tried to get information out of her, but she still insists on leaving,” Butch said.

“And you’re going to let her?” Deccan raised an eyebrow.

“Over my dead body,” he growled.

Deccan chuckled. “Figured. You’ve finally found her.”

“And I’m never letting her go,” he declared. “But we do need to talk.”

“Doc said you want the guys not to talk about her being here, but he didn’t say anything else. Is there something you want to discuss with me before I tell the guys?” Deccan asked.

“Someone is after her, but we don’t know who or how powerful they are. I know you don’t like it when people bring trouble to the club, but I will take full responsibility for anything that happens. If you don’t want her to stay, then I guess I will have to leave the Springfield Sinners. I’m not letting her leave, and I’m not going to allow this person to torment her life any longer,” Butch declared.

He didn’t want to leave the Springfield Sinners. Not when they had been his family for the past eight years. But if he had to pick between Rae, his Little Fairy, and the club, he was going to pick her. He’d had to leave her eight years ago with the promise of getting her back, but he wasn’t going to do it again.

“You don’t have to leave her or the club,” Deccan said. “I don’t want the guys bringing trouble to our door, but we help the innocent, you know that. We will never turn someone away who’s in trouble and needs our help.”

The tension eased from Butch’s shoulders, and he found himself loosening his grip around Rae. If Deccan had put him in a tough spot, he would always pick Rae over the club. No matter how much it hurt him to leave his family behind. Rae was his first family, and he had let her go all those years ago, promising to come back. He wasn’t going to let that happen again.

“We just need to find out who this guy is and deal with it before he comes for her,” Deccan said.

“I’m going to have Ace and Reaper look into it and forge some documents. I’ll be putting her on my insurance as my wife so that she can get the medical attention she needs, but also so we can figure out what kind of hearing device she needs,” Butch explained.

He looked down at her and softly trailed his knuckle across her cheek. Butch used to love lying in bed with her and staring at her as she slept so peacefully in his arms. It was one of the things he loved to do the most to pass the time. Stare at her for hours and hours, memorizing every little detail about her.

He didn’t realize how much he missed that until now.

“Hearing device?” Deccan asked.

“That bastard made her deaf in her right ear and damaged her left one,” he growled out. “I have no doubt he’s also the one who gave her all these bruises. I can guarantee you that if we were to pull her shirt up, she would have scars.”

Just thinking about what the man did to his Little Fairy made him livid. Who would dare to touch her? His woman. His Little. His significant other.

“We’ll find him—”

“When we do, I want to torture him. I want to make sure that he feels everything she felt and more. I want him to suffer,” Butch interrupted him.
