It was in that moment that Cameron realized he was still staring at the guy. Talk about creeping out the straight ex-con.
What was wrong with him?
Shaking off all the hot and sweaty scenarios bombarding his brain, Cameron forced himself to give Basher a friendly smile.
It was in that moment that the spell was broken. Basher’s eyes came back to life. He swallowed hard, then quickly looked away.
Was Cameron seeing that right?
It almost looked like Cameron saw a hint of interest in those pale and dangerous eyes.
Or perhaps that was merely wishful thinking on his part.
Judging by the way the man’s jeans bulged around his crotch, it was clear that the beast was packing more than just a mouthful.
Basher folded his arms across his chest, his biceps bulging as the fabric of his shirt strained against them. The hostile scowl he'd worn when he first entered the bar was back, settling over his features like a storm cloud with no sign of passing.
Licking his lower lip, Cameron tried to keep his eyes off Basher’s swollen body. How one man could be so built was a mystery to him.
Behind his jeans, Cameron felt his cock begin to thicken once again.
Jesus, this man was going to be the death of him.

BASHER
It was well after eight p.m. when Basher finally arrived home to his new place. It was a two-bedroom, ranch-style home with a rundown front yard and a massive backyard.
It was definitely a fixer-upper, but that didn’t bother Basher. He was good with his hands and enjoyed fixing things around the house.
The home was one of Marcus’s rentals, which he was given to live in rent-free until all this bullshit with the mob blew over.
Marcus thought it best not to mention his past or that he was a member of the Las Vegas Death Cruisers MC to the rest of the Shadow Vipers crew or to anyone working at the bar. There might be people looking for him, so it was probably safer if people didn’t know about his past.
Basher agreed. The less people knew about him, the fewer questions people would ask.
He didn’t bother turning on any lights. Instead, he moved through the house in darkness, committing its layout to memory while identifying any potential points of entry. It was a habit he’d developed during his years in prison. Survival meant staying alert at all times and knowing exactly where you were vulnerable.
Dropping the bags of groceries on the large island in the kitchen, he opened the fridge door and grimaced at the sudden light.
One by one, he emptied the bags and placed each item neatly into the fridge. While his life might be chaotic, the place he lived in didn’t have to be.
Once all his groceries were unpacked and put away, he dropped the rest of the bags Bradly had given him into the main bedroom.
His boss had bought him a shit ton of new clothes and supplies, knowing he wouldn’t have time to pick up any of that stuff before leaving Las Vegas. The man had assumed it would be too dangerous for him to return to his old place and collect his belongings—and he was probably right. Apparently, the guys had been paying his rent and maintaining his bike while he was locked up, making sure it would be in pristine condition when he got out. According to his boss, one of the crew was going to drive his bike out from Vegas, and it should arrive sometime this week.
Stylish jeans, socks, underwear, and toiletries filled the bags. The man even threw in a mega-sized box of condoms and three bottles of lube. Guess he figured that after two years in prison, Basher’s balls would be in need of some major draining.
And for the most part, his boss was right.
The bedroom was spacious. It had a queen-sized bed and a dresser with a large mirror that looked like it had seen better days.
Perhaps he could replace the mirror. Find something a bit more modern and perhaps less haunted-house-like to look at.
Tomorrow, he would sit down and make a list of all the repairs he needed to make, but for tonight, he wanted to shower, then hit the hay.
It had been a long day—driving almost nine hours from Vegas to New Mexico, stopping in to meet Marcus and the crew before finally stopping to grab a few essentials from the grocery store.
