Myscar.

A shudder runs through me as my eyes flutter closed at the touch of hislips.

I’ve missed them allday.

“What’s for dinner?” he whispers as he places another soft kiss on my jaw, and another at the corner of mylips.

Feeling slightly befuddled in the head by his proximity, it takes me a full five seconds to remember what I’ve cooked.

“Um, just steaks, pasta, and a green salad. Nothing fancy.”

“Mmm,” he breathes against my mouth. “That soundsgood.”

“You’re torturing me with your lips,” I whimper as he wraps his arms around my waist. I melt into his body—I can’t help myself. “I can’t breathe when you’re this close tome.”

“I’ve missed the taste of your skin allday.”

He keeps nibbling on my skin, up and down my face, making me shiver evenmore.

“Food,” he mumbles then, bringing me back from the clouds I’m floatingon.

I force my eyes open and nod. The smirk on his face makes me narrow my eyes athim.

He knows exactly what he’s doing to me, and he’s enjoying every minute.

“Tease,” I mumble and step out of his embrace.

“You love it,” he taunts.

I snort as I grab the bowl of salad from the counter and push it at his chest.

“Maybe, maybenot.”

I smile as I jerk my chin athim.

“Sit down, please. Let’seat.”

As he does as I say, I move to the fridge and take the chilled Frascati out and uncork it. I take a deep breath before I turn and go to sit down oppositehim.

This night is going to be interesting.

I’mgrateful that Kristian has kept the conversation light the last couple of hours. I don’t think I could handle anything heavy with him from the get-go. That’s not what first dates are about.

They’re about getting to know each other on the surface, learning each other’s likes and dislikes about everyday kind of things.

What you do forfun.

The life youlead.

Stuff likethat.

I’m glad Kristian seems interested to learn more about the farm, though, and I haven’t been able to stop myself from talking about all the hopes and dreams I have for the place.

“So, you want to turn it into a school?” he asks as he tops up our glasses with the last of thewine.
