“I’m flying, Jack!” she cried out, another reference that meant nothing to me but clearly delighted her.

Then physics reasserted itself. The water’s movement beneath us, the slight wobble in my stance due to the trough’s uneven bottom, and Tammy’s excited wiggling combined to create an instability in our carefully balanced arrangement. She began to tip backward, her expression shifting from joy to surprise as her center of gravity shifted beyond my tentacles’ grip.

“Oh shi—” she began.

My reaction was instantaneous. All eight tentacles deployed in protective formation, reaching to intercept her falling body. Four primary tentacles caught her shoulders and lower back, while three more curled protectively around her head to prevent impact. My smaller tentacle—often the least coordinated—shot out in a trajectory of its own devising, wrapping around her midsection and sliding upward across her bare stomach.

Time seemed to slow as the sensitive suction cups on my shortest appendage mapped the contours of her abdomen—the slight dip of her navel, the nearly imperceptible ridges of muscle beneath soft skin, the tiny bumps that rose in the tentacle’s wake. My touch receptors transmitted every minute detail directly to my central nervous system, overwhelming me with sensory input.

A small sound escaped Tammy’s throat. It wasn’t uttered from fear. Nor discomfort. This was from pleasure. Her vocalization sent deep emerald flashing across my visible skin.

I held her suspended just above the water’s surface, our eyes locked in a moment of mutual discovery. Her pupils dilated visibly, the black centers expanding to eclipse the blue, and her breathing pattern shifted to short, shallow inhalations that made her chest rise and fall rapidly against my supporting tentacles.

“That wasn’t exactly the lift I had in mind,” she whispered, her voice husky in a way I hadn’t heard before. “But I’m not complaining.”

My smallest tentacle, emboldened by her response, continued its exploration, sliding higher until it brushed the underside of her fabric-covered breast. The contact sent a jolt through both of us—I felt her sharp intake of breath as clearly as my own surge of pleasure from the touch-sensitive appendage.

"Your skin sends a current straight through every one of my receptors," I explained, though my words could not capture the overwhelming intimacy of the moment. “It’s... extraordinary.”

“Is that alien-speak for ‘you feel good’?” she asked, a smile playing at the corners of her mouth even as her eyes remained intense, focused.

“You feel... exquisite,” I clarified, allowing my tentacles to adjust their grip, bringing her closer to my face.

Movement in the water reminded me that we weren’t alone. Cyro and Vantor had closed the distance between us, drawn by a primal instinct that transcended species barriers. They circled us like satellites caught in our gravitational pull, their own tentacles breaking the water’s surface to reach toward Tammy.

Cyro’s iridescent appendages found her legs, wrapping gently around her calves and thighs, their bioluminescent patches creating underwater patterns that danced across her skin. Vantor’s more powerful tentacles encircled her arms with careful precision, his touch firm yet reverent.

“This is getting interesting,” Tammy breathed, her gaze flickering between the three of us as tentacles from three different alien beings caressed her suspended body from all directions. “Very interesting.”

“Your biochemical signals indicate heightened arousal,” Cyro observed, the liquid echo creeping into his voice the way it did when his emotions ran strong. His tentacles pulsed with waves of pastel light that matched the rhythm of Tammy’s quickening heartbeat.

“You’re reading my pheromones again, aren’t you?” she asked, but there was no accusation in her tone—only a breathless anticipation.

“Your scent has intensified,” Vantor confirmed, his normally precise voice deepening to a rumble that vibrated through the water around us. “It calls to a primitive code in our biology.”

My shorter tentacle, seeming to possess a will independent from my conscious control, traced delicate circles across the sensitive skin just below Tammy’s rib cage. Her resulting shiver transmitted through all my touch receptors simultaneously, creating a feedback loop of sensation that made my own breathing falter.

“I have analyzed and repaired countless mechanical systems across seventeen planets,” I told her, watching her pupils dilate further at my words, “but nothing compares to the complexity and beauty of your human form.”

“Your tentacles—” she whispered, arching slightly as Cyro’s appendage traced the curve of her hip— “how are they so silky? They look like they’d be rough.”

I watched as Cyro pressed and lifted a row of suckers to her skin, leaving behind red marks. I knew they would feel warm to her, tingly even.

“That’s amazing.” Tammy fluttered fingers over where Cyro’s suckers had pressed into her body.

I wanted to touch her.

Wrap every one of my tentacles around her luscious body. Touch her gently with my smaller tentacle that had caused me grief growing up yet didn’t seem to bother Tammy at all.

And I wanted to sink into her body.

Reproductive organ disappearing into the mystery of her own sexual cavity.

The water around us began to warm, our collective body heat transforming the trough into a veritable hot spring. It reminded me of the volcanic vents near the colony of my youth. We would all gather there, normal pursuits paused, when experts forecasted an active eruption day. There was nothing quite so relaxing as bathing in the scorching, mineral rich waters emitted from those lava chutes.

But we were not home in a volcanic vent field. We were on Earth. We were in Kansas. We were at Sunflower Hills. And currently we lounged inside a circular, water-holding vessel meant for horses.

Steam rose in delicate wisps around Tammy’s exposed shoulders, giving her an otherworldly appearance in the moonlight. I wanted so badly to touch every part of her. I wanted to feel the way my tentacles would slip across her slick skin. I wanted to use my human shaped hands to trail fingers down between those legs which supported her shapely body.
