"Where did you go?"

She checked again.

Nothing.

The ocean looked empty.

Too empty.

She lowered the camera.

A chill ran down her spine.

Nearly five miles away...

The older man watched the elegant white yacht through stabilized binoculars.

"The passengers?"

"They suspect nothing."

"The captain?"

"She suspects everything."

He smiled with genuine admiration.

"She's her grandfather's granddaughter."

The younger man looked over.

"You knew Captain Sinclair?"

The older man's eyes remained fixed on Sea Whisper.

"Once."

A long silence followed.

Finally, he spoke again.

"And that's why this has to be done carefully."

The younger man frowned.

"Why?"

The older man's expression grew unreadable.

"Because I owe that family a debt."

He lowered the binoculars.
