“Vesper, I want to know your feelings. Not what everyone else wants you to feel.”

It was silent for a moment and for a second, I thought she would hang up and she would seal our relationship or lack thereof.

“If I told you I wanted everything?”

Everything…

I wanted to know what everything looked like with Vesper. There were things I already knew about her, but I wanted to know the type of lover she was, if she was a hopeless romantic or if she was just a romantic in general. Vesper was a singer. Would she write love songs? Would I inspire her to play music once more after she stopped? I wanted to know the deeper side of her, the side she didn’t let anyone see.

It sounded selfish because I wasn’t an open book myself, but with the women I was falling in love with, I would rip my soul open so they could merge with me. I wanted everything and more with Vesper and Hades. Maybe one day I could have Widow, too, but I was slowly learning it would take a lot to persuade her to leave her inner wounds and let herself love me, so I’d take what I could get.

“Then I’d say me, too. I already told you I was head over heels for you. Now I need you to show me your devotion, too.”

“Okay.”

“Okay?” I questioned.

She smirked, and it went straight to my pussy. Jesus Christ. “Okay. I want everything and when you get home, we will work on this and see what happens. We’re already passed the awkward phases.”

I beamed. “And when we find Cinder you won’t stop? Because I’m not letting you go.”

“When we find Cinder, we won’t stop. I never should’ve let her control how I felt, but she was—is—my best friend.”

“I know, and sometimes she doesn’t see the happiness I want because she is scared I’ll get hurt, but getting hurt is a part of life…erh well, relationship wise. If you break my heart, I can break every bone in your body.”

“I wouldn’t dream of breaking your heart, mariposa. It would be an honor to have the chance to show you what love feels like from me.”

“Excellent. Now, do you want to watch me touch myself or do you want to be surprised?”

“As much as I would love to, I have to go.”

“Ehh, I'll send you videos like I’m doing with Hades. Byeeee, Vesper.”

Things just got more exciting and also terrifying, but I was ready to dive into this headfirst. And if my heart got broken, at least I had Hades.

Hades

My father wanted to talk to me, wanted to yell at me, more like, but honestly, I didn’t want to hear it. Yes, I was dating a Viper. I was smitten with her, and I wanted more. Which was why lying to her about what I was doing felt like more of a betrayal as I walked into Zade’s lair.

“Hey Z,” I chimed, announcing my presence. “I need your help, but you can’t let anyone know, especially not my father.”

“Oh, secrets. Let’s go!”

I chucked and shook my head. “I need you to hack into the security systems in Briarwood without being traced back here. And I need you to try and find the owner of this number.”

He leaned forward, his eyes narrowed and glaring at me. “What war are you trying to start? That is treading on the edge of…well I don’t know what, but it’s close to something. Why am I doing this?”

I pursed my lips. I liked it better when Zade didn’t question everything I did. “Because I need to find someone. You remember when I asked you about Rory?” He nodded. “Well, her sister is missing, and I want to find her. So please stop asking questions and show me what you got. She vanished from the pier a couple weeks ago, so if you can hack into the security system and see if you can find anyone or look for anything suspicious, that’d be great.”

“I expect a payout for this shit.” He frowned, a contemplative expression in his eyes before a slight smirk graced his lips. “But I have always wanted to see how techy the Vipers were.”

“I got you, now find something useful.”

Zade got to work typing away on his computer as I watched him. On one screen he filtered through PO boxes addressed to Cinder, online chatrooms, etc., and on the other computer, he pulled up security footage. I already knew it would take a while to find a needle in a haystack, but Zade was a beast with a computer.

My phone vibrated, and it was my girl.
