Rain streaks the city lights behind us while I lay her back against the cushions slowly, one hand gripping her thigh hard enough to keep her still.
Her hair spills messily across the dark fabric beneath her.
My shirt rides dangerously high against her thighs.
And fuck.
The sight alone nearly destroys whatever restraint I had left.
Blair props herself slightly onto her elbows watching me with those dangerous eyes.
Amused.
Cocky.
Like she still thinks she’s controlling this.
I drag her lower against the couch by her ankles instead, forcing a sharp breath from her lips while I settle between her thighs.
Some of the teasing flickers out of her expression after that.
Good.
My hand slides slowly beneath the shirt she’s wearing, fingertips dragging deliberately across warm skin while she shivers beneath me.
Every reaction she gives me feels amplified now.
The rain.
The city.
Everything feeds into the charged, dangerous tension hanging between us.
“Tell me, little addict,” I murmur against her throat. “Who’s the better fuck?”
Blair laughs breathlessly beneath me.
“Mmm, hard to say honestly. It’s been a while, my life’s been psychologically collapsing, and half the time around you two I genuinely can’t tell what’s real anymore.”
“Is that so?”
Her breath catches softly when my mouth drags slow along her jaw.
“Unfortunately.” Her fingers tighten in my shirt. “Looks like you’re gonna have to refresh my memory.”
My hand settles harder against her waist instantly.
“With fucking pleasure.”
She gasps quietly when I kiss her again, slower this time, deeper, swallowing every shaky breath she gives me while rain streaks the balcony windows behind us.
The apartment suddenly feels too hot.
Too close.
Like the tension between us has finally burned through the last of my restraint.
“You drive me fucking insane,” I murmur against her mouth.
