"You're trying to make them jealous, aren't you?" I tease.

"Perhaps."

Wraith rumbles with an uncertain growl.

"Is that okay?" I whisper to him.

Another growl.

"You don't have to show your whole face," Valek tells him.

I feel the muscles of Wraith's jaw shift against the top of my skull. I turn my head to look up at him. His eyes are half-shut, drowsy, blue barely visible beneath heavy lids. He cracks one open slightly more to give Valek a wary look.

Valek already has his phone, somehow. He holds it up, testing the angle. Me, thoroughly wrecked and looking happy as hell, wedged between two enormous and beautiful scarred alphas. Valek behind me, white hair messy, lip still split, silver eyes half-lidded and content.

And Wraith, his face mostly hidden in my dark hair, his arm curled possessively around my waist. His choppy dark hair falls over his eyes, one peering sleepily at the camera over the crown of my head.

His scarred jaw and a sliver of exposed muscle are partially visible through the strands of my hair. Several sharp teeth glisten in the lantern light.

"Hold still," Valek says.

Wraith watches the camera, but he doesn't hide or panic. He just looks groggy, warm, and utterly, stupidly content.

The shutter clicks.

Valek pulls the phone back and shows me.

"Oh my gods," I whisper.

It's perfect. Wraith looks soft and gorgeous and sleepy, wrapped around me like I'm the only thing keeping him tethered to the earth. Valek looks like a bruised, smug bastard. And I look like I just got railed by two alphas in a tent in the woods.

Valek looks at Wraith for confirmation.

I hold my breath.

Wraith watches the screen with an unreadable expression, taking it in silently.

For a moment, I think he's going to say no.

Then he lifts one hand and gives the laziest, smallest thumbs-up I've ever seen before his arm flops back down over my stomach.

Valek types with one thumb.

VALEK

Proof of life.

Goodnight.
