“Yeah, I got some stuff to take care of.” I cautiously replied, stopping a few steps back.

“Despite what Yanna believes I used to be young. I won’t pry but I’m assuming you're going to look for whoever shot my baby.”

“Something like that,” I vaguely answered.

Camile had been cool since she’d been here. She ain’t do too much and Zuriyah loved her.

“You know the way you feel about Zuriyah? That’s how I feel about Yanna. My daughter is smart so I trust her judgment when it comes to you. She trusts you to keep her and my granddaughter safe. So I’m going to trust you too and assume her getting shot was a one time thing.”

“Most definitely,”

“Good, I would hate to have to fuck you up behind my daughter Niko, but I’m not above it.”

“I hear you ma,” I smirked. Camile pressing me behind Yanna made me respect her because I know how I’m coming if Zuriyah was involved in anything.

Camile moved back so I could come all the way down the steps. “Go head and get them bastards who hurt my baby.”

“I got you,” I said as I walked past her and out the front door.

Sliding into the backseat next to Nakeem. Ya’ pulled off.

“Took yo’ ass long enough,” Nakeem impatiently said.

“You ain’t die did you?” I smartly replied mugging him.

“I could have,” Nakeem sarcastically replied.

“Nigga shut yo’ whining ass up,” Titon said to Nakeem. “Amilli said he got some shit to tell us but we was waiting on yo’ ass before we called him back.”

“Call him then the fuck y’all waiting on me for?” I asked with a scowl on my face. I was anxious to know what he had to say.

The trilling sounds of the phone ringing came through the speakers on the car. A few second later A’milli’s scratchy voice said. “Whad up?”

“Shit tryna see what you know,” Ya’ replied to him.

“Y’all know a nigga name Riker Martin?”

“Yeah,” Ya’ replied.

“That’s the name attached to the phone that those text were coming from. I’m tryna get the location of the phone ima hit y’all back when I find out.”

“Cool,” Ya’ said, disconnecting the call.

“I figured that nigga Riker had something to do with it,” Nakeem grunted. “That’s why that nigga went MIA.”

“You think he knows?” Ya’ asked looking back at me.”

“Ain’t no way,” I said, blowing out an aggravated sigh.

Something wasn’t adding up to me. I still couldn’t see Riker being calculated enough to pull some shit off like this. Riker was the kind of nigga that didn’t think he just did. A lot of times that’s what got the nigga into fucked up situaton. I kept my thoughts to myself as we all rode in silence to Riker’s mama house. I hoped she could lead us to the nigga.

Thirty minutes later we pulled up to Riker’s mama’s house, and we parked a few houses up the street.

“Ya’ come up here with me.” I said opening the car door.

“Aww here they go,” Nakeem messily said. “They too good for me or you to go with them.” Nakeem said nudging Titon in the back of his shoulder.

“Fuck them lame ass niggas,” Titon snickered. “You know they old asses can’t hang with us.”
