Haley said, “That’s not true. He wasn’t fifty when you had sex. Besides, no one thinks you’re disgusting. I can also promise you Luke Merrick is not long for this world.” I snorted, “I find that oddly comforting, but I knew that. Melanie is kind of efficient when given a task.”

Haley laughed, “That is true.” She rubbed my back, “I know how it feels. Fairies don’t see ages, but things happened to me as a child with men that were centuries old. Sometimes I still feel disgusting over all that. Luke is the predator here, not you. You are blameless. Sirens have a snare and Luke had you in his. He took your choice away, and you were kept naive of the Supernatural world. This is not on you.”

I cried, “I just want to go to bed.” Haley didn’t try to convince me otherwise. She just asked, “Where do you want to sleep?” Those people had to know where my apartment was, and I felt safe here. I answered, “Here.” Haley popped me into a room filled with green. It was perfect.

I started crying again while Haley just held and rocked me. When I stopped Haley pointed to the bathroom, “There’s a toothbrush and everything in the bathroom.” I quickly went in and brushed my teeth. Sassy was feeling a lot of emotions. Tatum was angry and growling in my head.

I heard a little yip. I gasped, “Tatum!” My dog jumped up into my lap. Haley told me, “I thought you might want her, so I conjured her to me.” I cried, “I want Key.” Haley consoled me, “He’s on the way.” The doors flew open as my mate flashed in. Haley told me, “If you want there’s a bubble bath set up in your bathroom. It won’t get cold, and there’s a cocktail in there for you too.”

I smiled, “You’re kind of the coolest sister in law ever.” Haley smiled brightly, “Get some sleep, and remember; you’ve done nothing to be ashamed of. Luke has. He’s made an enemy of this family, and he will not survive that. He will pay for what he did to you and Tatum. I will help Melanie with her fucking plans and let me tell you that means Luke’s soul is unprepared for what’s coming.” I believed her. Haley kissed the top of my head and popped away.

I cried, “Key.” My mate held me tightly, “You didn’t do anything wrong. He will pay, Odette, I promise.” I cried, “You don’t think I’m disgusting? Do you still want me?” Keaton growled, “You’re not disgusting and you did nothing wrong. You’re MINE! Luke is the one who should be ashamed.”

I asked, “Do Supernatural’s not care about being relatives?” Keaton winced, “They tend to.” I asked, “Do Sirens not care?” Keaton sighed, “Caspian said they do.” I groaned, “Great. So, it’s just my creepy relatives. They were having fertility problems, and Luke killed his child. Poor Delana. I want to talk to her.”

Keaton said, “I’m sure we can arrange that. I know she stayed at Caspian’s. They put her up in a room there. I’m sure your big brother will bring her here to talk to you.” I cuddled into his chest wanting to block out the day. Haley was right, I should’ve just gone to bed.

Changing

Keaton stared at Noxus. Haley rubbed her index finger which had me instantly relaxing. That meant Alexander was with Odette and Melanie. Noxus said, “Caspian was gathering our armies. My sons were very worried. Odette called to all of us, even me.” How? Channing growled, “I don’t know.”

Noxus looked disturbed when he added, “We were very panicked when that happened. We thought the Merrick’s had Odette.” I snarled and Channing forced a shift. Noxus smirked at me. Channing pawed at the ground.

Aiden snorted, “Little sister.” Haley shrugged, “Do I look like a fucking Alpha wolf to you, big brother? You appealed to the wrong person in the room.” Lux rolled his eyes, “Even if he had appealed to me, I couldn’t be bothered to care that Channing forced a shift. I want my little sister back.” Channing chuffed his agreement.

Lux growled, “Now, tell me who the damn Merrick’s are since Channing clearly loathes them.” Channing snarled again but let me shift back. Haley snapped clothes on me. I snarled, “Dead motherfuckers are who the Merrick’s are.” Lux shrugged, “Ok. I can get on board with that.”

Haley asked, “Who are they, other than dead motherfuckers?” Noxus said, “Dark Sirens.” Aiden laughed, “How vague. I can tell you more, little sister.” Lux asked, “How the HELL would Keaton know a dark Siren last name if…” He trailed off when it clicked for him.

Scarlett grabbed his Lux’s as Lake took over but didn’t shift. Lake snarled, “Why does my sister know a dark Siren?” I answered, “Your bitch of a mother was trying to sell her off in marriage to her abusive ex, who is stalking her. He’s leaving notes for me and generally being a pain in my ass.”

Lux hissed, snarled, then groaned, “UGH! Does this song ever stop singing?” Noxus shook his head, “No, your Siren is a part of you.” Lux sighed, “Do I turn into something?” Noxus inclined his head, “Yes. We can have the ceremony so you can be in your Siren form.”

Lux shrugged, “I guess if Odette does it, I will” Scarlett teased, “I bet your Siren form is sexy.” He growled and pulled Scarlett against him. I groaned, “Ok, that’s great. Lux is a sexy Siren. Love it. How do we get Odette back here?” Then I heard her voice, causing Lux to freeze beside me.

Noxus smiled, “Odette calls you Key? That’s cute.” Haley agreed, “It really is.” Lux snorted, “Keaton hates nicknames.” I growled, “I like hers.” Noxus laughed, “Of course you do.” Channing demanded, “Forget their teasing and GO GET MATE!”

I ran towards the door and yanked my mate into a kiss. Channing told me, “Our mate’s wolf is Tatum.” Like her dog? Oh my god. Odette must have heard her wolf before they did whatever they did with those pills.

My poor mate must have thought she was insane. Fury filled me at the thought. Channing was grumbling. My wolf was in an odd mood, because he was happy that he was talking to his mate, but furious at what happened to his wolf counterpart.

When we pulled apart, I looked Odette over noting she was fine. I linked Alexander, “Did you heal Odette?” Alexader nodded, “Yes, but I doubt she noticed.” I probed, “What was wrong?” Alexander answered, “It was mostly bruises, nothing big.”

Tatum probably healed anything serious once Melanie did whatever she did to get her Tatum. I barely let Odette go to see Lux. Alexander clapped a hand on my shoulder, but I couldn’t even look at him. I was too busy drinking Odette in.

I linked Emmett, “Does this work at this range and across realms?” Emmett answered, “Evidently it does.” I told him, “Odette found us, and her brother is the King here.” Emmett replied, “Eric informed us. You know that means your mate is a Princess? I’m sure we’ll hear your ex’s shriek from here when she finds out.” I nearly laughed out loud.

I sheepishly apologized, “I’m sorry that I yelled at you, I was just worried about Odette.” Emmett replied, “Mates and all.” I sighed, “Yeah.” Emmett warned, “By the way, if you ever try to keep a secret like this from me again; I’ll have you running so many laps you’ll collapse.”

My brother paused then added, “Also it’s actually tragic how badly you kept this secret. Alpha’s are possessive, Keaton. Our mates are not a secret we can keep.” I didn’t reply because he might have a point. Channing snorted, “MIGHT?!” I teased, “You were the one shifting at the drop of a hat!” Channing huffed at me.

Alexander linked, “Odette has been having dreams about my mom?” I said, “Yeah, my mate had some type of vision we need to discuss. From the past.” Alexander raised an eyebrow. I definitely didn’t know about the wolves and Haley dreams.

Couldn’t Selene just help out slightly? I would’ve liked to hear my mate talking about wolves and Haley in her dreams. Channing grumbled, “Evidently not.” That seemed to hurt him, which I hated. Channing said, “Not as much as it hurts Freya.”

Yeah, well Selene let her own sister suffer. It was no wonder it hurt her. Maybe I should’ve just driven us over to their territory to meet Aunt Haley. Then things would’ve come out. Alexander pulled me out of my thoughts linking me, “The what if game haunts you if you let it.”

I asked, “How do you stop?” Alexander looked over at Melanie and replied, “You don’t. I go into the Ribbon and see all the what if’s along with those in my mind. My dad’s been talking to me, so I’m sure he’ll talk to you too.” I snorted, “Uncle Eric’s probably never going to speak to me ever again.”
