I don’t recall thinking for awhile. My mind was absolutely suspended somewhere in the ozone.
I came to when the beach ball slipped from my grasp. Had I passed out?
Gray’s limp fingers still touched my clit, only barely. I finally resumed breathing. My eyes popped open as I tried to focus on a peregrine falcon wheeling above. Gray collapsed next to me in the sand, chuckling.
“Wow. You’re amazing, woman.”
Were we that elemental? He was my man, and I his woman? I giggled. I guess so.
He lifted a hand and draped a finger over one of my bared nipples, but I gasped so loudly he withdrew them.
“Sensitive,” he assumed.
I finally looked at his drop-dead handsome face. The pointed nose, the glimmering white teeth, the mischievous eyes—it was all too much for me.
At the same time, I knew I could handle him.
I was confident. I was competent. I was a woman in the prime of life making love with a younger man. In love with a younger man.
I caressed his finely hewn jaw in my palm. “I love you, you amazing man.”
He rubbed his face into my hand. “I love you, Elektra. And your amazing rack.”
I shoved his face away. “Now go get your pot. It’s time we used the Dabba Doo Room for what it was intended.”
Gray popped right up, eager to try out the weed he’d purchased from Lytton’s dispensary. It fit right in with him being an LA surfer boy, but I was still afraid to try it, for fear someone would need to test my pee in the near future.
Instead, I went back to the room and grabbed an IPA beer from the little fridge. I chugged a few gulps, and it was delicious. I set it on the table out back before taking the ball and rushing back into the warm water.
