“I’m glad we came to the club last night,” Olivia admitted. “It was amazing. I can see why it’s so popular.”

James laced their fingers together. “Not as amazing as you.”

Olivia didn’t respond and James cursed silently. The last thing he wanted to do was make her feel uncomfortable. He rose to his feet and held his hand out to her, helping her gracefully to her feet. “You never did get to finish your dance last night.”

Olivia felt like she was in some kind of fairy tale as James pulled her into his arms, his strong arms holding her close. They danced slowly to the faint music he’d put on earlier. She relaxed against him, following his lead across the deck. “You’re rather good at this,” she murmured.

“At what? Dancing or romance?” His breath was warm against her ear.

“Both.” She tilted her head back to meet his gaze. The way he looked at her made her feel desirable and beautiful in a way she had never experienced before.

He spun her around, her laugh echoing into the night. “Why, Miss Olivia, are you flirting with me?”

She grinned. “Maybe. Is it working?”

“Like a charm.” He drew her close again. “Though you hardly have to work at it. One smile from you is enough.”

“Sweet talker.” She shook her head at him, even as her pulse raced.

He grew serious, cupping her face in his hands. “I mean it, Olivia. There’s something special about you. I can’t stop thinking about last night..and now tonight. Please tell me I can see you again.”

“I.” Olivia truly did not know how to answer him. She wanted nothing more than to see where this would lead, but being romanced was not something she had ever experienced before. She’d dated a few men, but those relationships had quickly fizzled out when they realized she wouldn’t fund their pet projects—or go to bed with them. And nothing had ever happened this fast before. Quite frankly, she was afraid. Afraid of everything that could go wrong.

Like him losing interest just as quickly as he appeared to have fallen under her spell.

Fairy tales always had a dark side.

James realized he’d spoken too soon. She needed time. Hadn’t he told Lucas she was shy? He lifted her hand to his mouth, placing a lingering kiss against her palm. “How about some desert.”

“Sounds good.”

Olivia sat down on the bench running along the back of the boat while James produced another container. “The chef said it was called death by chocolate.”

He cursed at the slip of his tongue, but Olivia was too enthralled by the desert to notice. She took a bite, closing her eyes and moaning at the taste.

When she opened them, he was watching her, heat in his gaze.

“What?’ she asked self-consciously. “Do I have chocolate on my face?”

“No,” he replied throatily. “I was just imagining other ways to make you moan like that.”

Olivia blushed, her laugh shaky. “You don’t waste any time, do you.”

James grinned unapologetically. “When I see something I want, I go for it.”

His eyes raked her over her with a hunger that left no doubt as to who he wanted.

The thrill of his words made Olivia’s body respond in a very wanton way, and she tried to remain aloof. That was difficult when her panties were flooding with cream from her hungry pussy. She wanted James so badly. Which was so unfamiliar. Usually, she didn’t feel any sexual pull towards the men she dated, hence why she was still carrying around her v-card. “You really are trouble, aren’t you?”

His lips curved into a wicked grin. “The very best kind. Admit it, you’re enjoying every minute of it.”

Olivia shook her head, unable to hide her smile. “What’s a girl to do with the likes of you?”

In response he took her hand and pulled her slowly toward him. “I think you should start with a kiss.”

She knew she should stay away from this particular type of trouble but couldn’t help feeling enticed by him. His playful charm and the way he looked at her as if she were irresistible made her want to throw caution to the wind.

He cupped her chin in one hand and brushed his lips lightly against hers. At the first soft touch of his mouth, her doubts and fears faded away. She sighed into the kiss, leaning closer as her lips parted beneath his.
