“And what about you?” she asked.

“What about me?”

“What about your pleasure?”

“Pleasing you pleases me. Hopefully—and I’m pretty good at knowing these things going into this type of exchange—you will find pleasing me pleases you.”

Her eyes went from narrowed to a full squint by the time I finished talking. I knew her opinion before she even shared it.

“I’m not submissive, Elijah. I already know that about myself. Maybe I’m the one time you’re wrong.”

I moved from partially kneeling on the bed to sitting. It was important we talked about this before we ventured any further anyway, so no time like the present. I pulled the throw off the foot of the bed and covered my pretty kitty with it. Covering her body was a crime against mankind, but she’d be bare soon enough if I had my way.

“How’s that? I know it can be cool in this room if you aren’t”—I rolled my eyes heavenward, trying to be tactful—“being active.”

“That’s nice, thank you. Everything in your home is so lovely,” she commented while admiring the blanket. “Either you have an amazing decorator, or you have exquisite taste in home furnishings on top of all the other things you’re amazing at.”

“Oh, sweet girl…” I grinned, knowing that was the version that got me laid more times than I could count. Then I moved closer to her until our foreheads were touching and said, “You haven’t seen anything yet.”

“I would really like to, though,” she said in her low, sultry voice.

“Yeah, this is going to be good, Hannah. Let’s get this talking over with so I can put my mouth to better use.”

“Mmmm. Okay.” She nodded with jerky movements.

“Enjoying pleasing others, serving others, getting fulfillment by doing things you know will make others happy? Those aren’t bad things.” I had to touch her while we talked.

Once before, I had explained our connection to her as elemental. My body needed to be touching hers if we were near each other. At least that was how it was for me. I had no idea what was happening to me, but I knew if I didn’t find a way to slow down with this woman, I had a big chance of getting hurt again. I felt like I was barreling toward a rock wall and my brakes just went out.

“So, I’m going to go out on a limb because we haven’t talked about this yet, but I hope we do at some point. Think about when you cook. What about that experience brings you joy? Why do you do it, and what led you down that path? And if you don’t want to talk about it with me here tonight, it may be an eye-opening prompt for self-discovery.”

“Someone’s been to therapy,” she said on a laugh.

“That obvious?” I chuckled too. “Seriously though, what gave it away? I need to cut back on that shit.”

“No, don’t cut back on anything you do or say. You’re amazing. A little intense when a person first meets you, but even that…I don’t think I’d change.”

I shifted my weight on the mattress to loom over her, bringing us nose to nose. “So you don’t find me intense anymore? You’ve only known me two weeks. I’m doing something wrong if the intensity has already worn off.”

She smiled, not catching the clues that this conversation was about to turn a corner and head down a dark dead-end alley where she was going to be trapped between me and a hard place with nowhere to go but down.

Ever so slowly, I stood up, keeping my stare fixed on hers with no discernable expression on my face.

But there was intention all around me. Intention in my inhalations and exhalations. Intention in the way I unbuttoned my shirt and kept her trapped in my gaze, even as I let the thing billow to the ground like a dropped mainsail. And the most assured intention of all as I pulled the end of my belt through the buckle’s frame and let the prong pop free of the hole. With a flick of my wrist, the leather whooshed through the loops of my slacks and made a small crack on the air.

If I hadn’t been so raptly fixed in her gaze, I would’ve missed the way she jumped just a fraction of an inch at the sound. But I was. So I didn’t. And even that little action of hers made more blood throb south to my engorged cock. I was never going to fit inside this woman tonight, but damn if I wouldn’t get off one way or another. I was in agony from being so aroused, and just the thought of stuffing myself back into my pants without tapping my balls first made me shiver.

Hannah was still using the throw to shield herself from me, so I strolled to the foot of my bed and took the ornamental edge of the coverlet between my fingers and yanked it off her and the bed completely. The blanket joined my clothes somewhere inconsequential.

Next, I set my sights on her sexy ankles. She was a step ahead, though, because my beauty also had brains, but her plan of scooting her feet out of my reach was foiled by my long arms. I swiped out in front of me and had my prize—one ankle in each hand’s grasp.

“Elijah, what are you going to do?” Hannah asked with unmistakable trepidation in her voice.

For some reason, her nervousness excited me. It was rare I had inexperienced subs, let alone lovers, and I kept thinking of more and more things I wanted to do to her and with her. Hannah’s lack of bedroom history would make almost every one of them new and exciting. They would all be new and exciting for me, as well.

As I tugged her down the bed, she squealed and then giggled. That adjustment put her flat on her back instead of reclined in the throw pillow pile. It also put her at the end of the bed near some other fun things we could play with—like rig points built into the bedframe that were cleverly hidden in the ornamental styling of the furniture. Beneath those were hidden compartments that housed adult toys and other essential products that were used to enhance the bedroom experience.

I just didn’t know how far she wanted to go, and I didn’t want to ruin a great day by scaring her. We would have to negotiate the parameters of our playtime as soon as possible. For tonight, though, I just wanted to make her feel good and have her coming back to me for more.
