He was startled by a knock at his door, and he simply stood and stared at the door for a while before speaking. "Who is it?" He barked.

“Caleb." Came the careful response. "I heard about Ben and thought you might want some company." James couldn't help the hateful grin that graced his lips. The omega was noticing an opportunity, and who could blame him for taking the initiative? Maybe another hot omega ass would help him control this internal frenzy he was feeling.

James walked to the door, unlocked it, and slowly swung it open. Caleb was standing there, all blonde and beautiful, wearing only a long t-shirt. James could smell that he was eager to please.

"Are you wearing anything under that shirt?" He asked, and Caleb shook his head.

"It's all for you, James. I can please you better than Ben ever could." He said, his voice sugary sweet, and his eyes were filled with lust and longing. Caleb reached under his long shirt and started stroking himself, lust consuming his eyes. James considered the offer for a few seconds and then grabbed him by the upper arm and pushed him back out the door.

“I have no time for you.” He growled.

"Ben is already with his mate at the Parkway Hotel; they've already bonded." Caleb shot back, trying to wound. "He's out of your reach; you can never have him.” James slammed the door in his face and turned around. The anger he'd tried to suppress was not letting go. Ben knew better he knew who he belonged to. "I don't give a fuck whether he found his mate or not." He shouted.

CHAPTER FIVE

Ben was wearing only Gabriel's shirt, and Gabriel was wearing just his pants as they sat on the bed and enjoyed breakfast. He loved seeing his beloved wrapped in his clothing, looking so delicious and so relaxed. He hadn't been relaxed when Gabriel first arrived last night. There had been a heaviness in the room and a heaviness on him. There were things to discuss, and now was the time for that discussion.

He took a sip of his coffee and leaned back against the headboard, placing his arm around Ben's shoulders. "Tell me about James Fowl." He said and instantly felt Ben's entire body stiffen. His vampire started to stir, preparing to defend his beloved against whatever threat this man presented.

Ben didn't speak for a few minutes he leaned against Gabriel and took one shallow breath after another. He was preparing himself, and what he had to say was not going to please Gabriel; he could already feel it in his soul.

"James became Pack Beta after saving the Alpha's brother, Yule, two years ago. He and James were patrolling together, and Yule fell from a cliff. James scaled down and carried him to safety. It was a significant fall, and he was unconscious and bleeding. If James hadn't carried him up, he probably wouldn’t have survived.” Ben wanted Gabriel to know that the position of Beta had been a gift and not an achievement. He paused and placed his hand on Gabriel’s thigh. Gabriel held him and waited, not interrupting.

"James had verbally made a claim for me before his promotion to Beta, but once he had the power and position, he kept putting off claiming me. We were never intimate and shared only a few light kisses. I thought he was sincere at first, but as time went on, he became more and more loose with his affections for others." Another pause. "He started frequenting the rooms of unbonded omegas, and then that grew into a hunger for a depraved kind of power and control."

Gabriel wondered if Ben still had any feelings for this man, and as soon as the thought hit him, Ben shut it down. He turned to him with a stare that was deadly.

"I feel nothing but disgust for James Fowl. He decided at some point that degrading and humiliating me was a fun pastime activity. He made me go to the gala last night to watch him with his current omega mistress. I did not have the power to refuse, so I had to stand there and watch them. I hate his fucking guts. He won't let me go. I asked to be released many times, but he would not.”

Silence filled the room, and Gabriel wrapped both arms around Ben, pressing him to his chest and burying his face in Ben's soft hair. Ben wasn't afraid of James, and he wasn't in love with him; the pervading emotion he felt was embarrassment. James embarrassed him, degraded and humiliated him, and Gabriel planned to make the man pay.

"I contacted my superior and reported our bond, and Master Rose has spoken with your Alpha, so our bond is common knowledge at this point. Ben turned and looked up at him, his eyes now hopeful. "James knows that you are bonded and that you are now a member of the Rose Coven of Chicago. Your pack has no claim on you, and you are no longer under their power. James is no threat to you now or ever again."

What he was actually saying was that James would never bother him again and Gabriel would make sure of it, but his beloved was a gentle soul and didn't need to hear the brutal realities. James Fowl’s days on this earth were now numbered.

“I’m a member of your Coven?”

"Yes, sweetheart, the bond automatically gives you that position, and there will be a formal admissions ceremony with the Master as soon as it can be arranged. For all intents and purposes, from the moment of the bond, you belong to me, and you belong to the Rose Coven.”

“Your people, your Master won’t have a problem with an omega wolf joining the coven?”

"You're my beloved, you go where I go, you live where I live, you and I are one." Gabriel was forceful and firm, and he felt Ben’s arms tighten around him.

“I don't have to go back there." He asked, his tone wavering as he dug for absolute certainty. Gabriel kissed him repeatedly on his lips, cheeks, and jaw, sensing that he needed to soothe the omega wolf within his lover. He wasn't familiar with wolves and omegas in particular, but he would learn. He would learn everything about his beloved, and he would learn how to love and provide for everything he needed.

“You never have to go back there.” He stated in a firm tone. “You are my beloved and a member of the Rose Coven the Pack has no power over you any longer." He heard him release a sigh of relief, and then he laughed softly. He moved up onto Gabriel's lap and lay against his chest. Gabriel held him like this for quite some time, just reveling in the new life that Fate had gifted to him.

He buried his face in Ben's hair, breathing in the fresh, clean, beautiful scent of his lover. "Why hasn't the Alpha dealt with James? He sounds like a liability." Gabriel couldn't stop thinking about what the guy had done to his beloved. He would find James, and he would be made to regret the cruelty he had dished out to Ben Dalton. Gabriel would burn the pack to the ground if he had to, but James Fowl would pay dearly.

“He believes he owes him . . . I guess.” That made little sense to Gabriel, but he was too filled with the alluring scent of his beloved to give it more thought.

Suddenly the depth of his anger started to ease, and his mind was filled with nothing but his beloved’s ass and where it sat eating his hard cock an inch at a time. The tease was lowering himself so slowly it was excruciating. He held Gabriel’s hands while circling his hips and gradually taking him inside.

Gabriel closed his eyes when the first wave of sensations swamped him, but he opened them immediately, not wanting to miss a second of the show that Ben was giving him. Ben's hard cock stood straight and bobbed, tempting Gabriel to force the release of one hand in order to satisfy.

Ben rolled his head from side to side on his shoulders and moaned as his gorgeous ass completely devoured Gabriel's cock. Then it was time for Gabriel to moan a deep, guttural sound of pure pleasure. "Let me have you, baby, let me have all of you," Ben whispered into Gabriel's ear and bit the lobe, tantalizing and provoking.

"I'm all yours, sweetheart, now and forever." That response earned him a hard wet kiss on his lips, a kiss that explored and controlled and turned Gabriel's nervous system to jelly. He was raising and lowering himself, impaling his hole on Gabriel's cock. He picked up speed, still holding Gabriel's hands and using that connection as support. The friction was building and becoming torture as Gabriel fought to withstand the need to come.
