The Realtor told me everything I needed to know about the cost. It was empty, which meant we, technically I, could move in immediately. I made an offer on the house, and he said I would hear back by the end of the day, but he had no doubt the owner would accept.
When I got back to the ranch, I went to Dusty—the horse—and told him what I did.
“I bought us a house. You will have your own barn and we will get those horses we talked about. Hopefully Dusty and Joe will move in with us.”
I finished my work day and realized I didn’t know if I was supposed to go to the bunkhouse or back to Joe’s house. Needing a shower and a change of clothes I went to the bunkhouse. After a hot shower I went back to my room.

Really?

I can give you the keys now and we will do the paperwork Friday.
JACOB
That would be perfect. Can I meet you for the keys?

I’m five minutes away.
With the keys in hand I headed over to Dusty’s place not sure if he would be home or not. When he opened the door my heart tripped over itself.
“Hey baby. Are you busy? Can you go on a ride with me? We will be gone about an hour or so, probably?”
“Yeah. I don’t have plans, it’s really good to see you.” He kissed me deep and hard, which made my toes curl.
“Let’s go get Joe.” He smiled at me clear that he liked the idea.
“Oh, good. I hoped we would all be together tonight.”
I laughed when he rubbed his hands together.
Fortunately, Joe was able to join us, and once the three of us were in the car, I drove the few miles to the house that was about to be ours. At least I hoped it would be ours. If they wanted to wait, I knew I would be happy with Dusty here in the barn.
“Is Martin looking at picking up more land?” Joe asked, looking around.
“Not exactly,” I said, trying to stay vague. “Let’s check it out.”
We went inside, and I loved it even more now that we were all together.
“This place is really nice. I wouldn’t mind living here.” Dusty said as an aside.
“What do you think, Joe?”
He looked around. "Martin should buy it. I can see this being fixed up and would be a great Airbnb or even a flip. Not that much needs to be updated or changed. Honestly, it’s livable now, and that jacuzzi on the deck. Can you imagine?”
“Come sit with me.” I led them out front and sat on the deck steps. “I’m in love with you both, and I don’t want to spend nights without either of you.” I swallowed hard. “Would both of you be willing to move in with me here, in this house? I bought it for us.”
“What?” They said in unison.
“Move in?” Joe asked.
