He turned his head to look at me. “The first few minutes, I wasn’t sure about it, but then it was exciting to share with you. It turned me on that it was turning you on.”
That made me feel more confident. At least I wouldn’t lose him to that, even though I didn’t understand this new kink I had. My cock chubbed up as I started thinking about things he might not have shared with me and what those were like.
“I liked it, Joe. Hearing about you being with another man, I don’t know. Yeah.”
“Well, what I wanted to tell you was I have been seeing Gentry, and we’ve had sex.” He grinned at me.
“It seems you might have mentioned that somewhere. Is it serious?”
“Not yet. It could be, but for now we are dating, and he knows about you.”
That surprised me, but it also made me feel good. I should really look at my feelings and decide if what I felt earlier was still there after what had happened.
“I like spending time with you.” I watched him blush.
“Want to cuddle and watch a movie?”
That sounds perfect. He pulled the blanket off the back of the couch. I noticed the original hickey had changed shape and deepened in color. My cock liked that way too much. As we settled in, he told me that Mr. Wilson was going to pay for Gentry to go with him on the dude ranch job. The first thing that came to mind was the stories he could tell me about their time together.
“Well, I get you when you go with us to the next tour stop.” I had no idea why I said it.
“Yes, you do, and I am looking forward to it.”
There was a lot of stuff for me to think about, but now wasn’t the time because I was snuggled under the blanket with a sexy, naked man after an amazing orgasm. I really couldn’t ask for a better afternoon, to be honest.
He looked over at me. “I might nap. Don’t leave, we’ll order some dinner in if you want to make it a whole day thing.”
I knew my smile was probably too big, but I didn’t care.
“Yes. And I will probably nap too.” We snuggled in together, his leg was over the top of mine, our bodies fitting together like we had done this thousands of times. The urge to be domestic like this all the time washed over me.
I really liked Joe, and I needed to navigate through all these feelings. And I needed to do it before I lost him to Gentry.
Chapter sixteen
JOE
Dusty left around 2:00 a.m., we cuddled and touched for hours, and it was amazing. I couldn’t help but compare him to Gentry. They offered different things, and both made my stomach do swoopy things. I didn’t want to choose one of them.
After I saw Dusty off, I climbed back in bed until 4:30 a.m. and then I was up for the day. I needed to talk to someone.
Once I was dressed, I filled a couple of thermos with coffee, put creamer, sugar, and a box of donuts in a bag, and headed out to my car.
As I approached the front door, I knew I wasn’t going to be greeted with open arms, but this was an emergency. I started knocking. Then I started to pound hard.
When the door opened, my brother stood there, clearly just out of bed. “Joe? What’s wrong? Are you hurt? Amber, is she okay? What’s going on?”
I had panicked him. Drachen was on his shoulder, flapping his wings and shuffling. I had set off his dragon.
It didn’t occur to me that even though this was an emergency for me, it probably wouldn’t be thought of that way by my brother and his husband at 5:00 a.m. on a Monday, especially after they had been on the road over the weekend.
“Oh. Not that kind of an emergency.” He narrowed his eyes at me. Their doorbell had a camera, so I was sure he had known before opening the door that it was me.
“Why are you here, Joe?” I pushed my way past him.
“I need Montgomery.”
Drake, Mont’s dragon, flew from point to point, obviously confused by the early morning visitor. Both animals were trained to support their humans’ emotional needs, including anxiety. There was no doubt that both my brother and his husband would feel anxious upon my arrival. I’ll need to make apologies later.
